The U S has become the Reward Country..... instead of a punishment for crimes, you are rewarded.

    True with one correction:
If I or You or anyone on the forum committed a crime, we’d be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Yes and some want 4 more years (or maybe 8) for the border czar who has rewarded millions of illegal aliens with the benefits of living in the US.

I hope everyone reads Bobby's link to the story in the NY Post. It not only costs us but it's making things very dangerous and Democrats in office have supported open borders and sanctuary cities.

Colorado's Democrat governor, Jared Polis, made fun of the reports of the Venezuelan gangs in Aurora, CO, a suburb of Denver, following reports of them taking over an apartment building. Polis says the gangs are just the Arvada city council's imagination.

    Even CNN reported on them.

This is the dangerous Venezuelan gang infiltrating the US that you probably know nothing about but should
An alleged multistate human trafficking ring forcing immigrant women into prostitution. The mysterious killing of a former police officer in South Florida. Attacks against police officers in New York. The arrest of a drug dealer in Chicago.

Local and federal officials say these apparently unrelated crimes have a common denominator: Tren de Aragua, a transnational criminal gang that originated in a Venezuela prison and has slowly made its way south and north in recent years. They say it’s now operating in the United States. The scale of its operations is unknown, but crimes attributed to alleged members of the gang have worried elected officials and some Republican members of Congress have asked the Biden administration “to formally designate the vicious Tren de Aragua as a Transnational Criminal Organization.”

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/09/us/tren-de-aragua-venezuela-gang/index.html

For the last 3.5 years we've heard how many single men (not families) are crossing the border and we've been warned. They aren't just along the Colorado Front Range and in border states. They are all over the US and if you haven't seen them it may not be long.

Denver is a loud and proud sanctuary city. I'm not sure about Pueblo but crime is rampant there, as well. Colorado Springs and the county have made it clear that they are not illegal alien sanctuaries but crime is rising anyway, unsolved murders, one taking place at a Latino street show in a deserted parking lot, some in parks, etc. Street shows have been a part of Southern California entertainment for some years.

Another thing they do is steal cars and drive them through store fronts. Smash and Grabs! The stores are usually small and often just getting started. The owners often lose everything.

Smash and grabs on the rise in Colorado Springs, 27 incidents so far this year according to CSPD

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Another smoke shop in Colorado Springs was the latest target of thieves.

Early Monday morning, Colorado Springs Police say at least two people backed into Speedys Smoke Shop with a stolen Kia.

    https://krdo.com/news/2024/07/14/th...ugh-front-doors-of-colorado-springs-business/

Employees told KRDO13 that many shelves were wiped clean and several items were missing from inside the glass casings.

Police told KRDO13 this incident adds to a series of recent similar crimes and marks the 27th one this year.

    https://krdo.com/news/2024/08/19/sm...-27th-incident-this-year-according-to-police/

We need a federal administration that will put ICE and the Border Patrol back to work keeping people from entering the country illegally instead of processing them in as the Biden/Harris administration has them doing now.

The true cost of illegal immigration is having all these law breakers walking among us, looking us in the eye, and reminding us that our government will not enforce our laws against non-citizens, but that same government would crucify us given half a chance.

Castro set the example in "emptying the prisons" with the Mariel Boat lift under the Carter Administration. Embedded within refugees were thousands of criminals. Castro had decided to lighten the burden of supporting the prison population that he had greatly expanded. Some were political prisoners, but many were hardened criminals. The U.S. grants amnesty to any Cuban who touches shore, a leftover policy from the Kennedy Administration (I think). Venezuela and other countries have now followed Castro's example in sending their criminal northward. Not only does it rid the population of those countries of some very bad people, but it punishes the U.S. for meddling in their nation's affairs for over a century.

This is becoming more than just vandalism and stealing. These illegal gang members from Venezuela are actually taking over housing complexes and the people living there are being forced out on the streets with no place to live, and some of them have probably been murdered, because they just disappeared and the fans now living in the homes of these people with all of their weapons.

If they were to go to smaller towns in America, they could actually take over a whole small town, like where Ken or Hedi live, because there are only a few police there. In the large cities, even the police there are unable to stop the gangs form taking over the homes and apartments.
I have read that this is also happening in the Los Angeles area, and concerned about @Joy Martin , since she lives in an apartment there.

Don't worry. Colorado will vote for Harris. They enjoy the foreign criminal gangs there.

Laken Riley murder: Illegal immigrant suspect in Georgia college student slaying asks to hide certain evidence

Jose Ibarra, the suspect charged in the February murder of Augusta University nursing student Laken Riley, is asking for a hearing to suppress a list of evidentiary items, including cellphones, a buccal swab and social media accounts.

Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela, is accused of attacking and killing Riley, 22, while she was out for a run along dirt trails on the University of Georgia campus in Athens on the morning of Feb. 22.

Specifically, Ibarra is asking to suppress "(a) two cellular devices believed by the State to belong to Defendant and the information contained within them; (b) genetic and physical information taken from the person of Defendant; (c) the contents of Defendant’s social media accounts, which include Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram; and (d) location data obtained from Google, Inc. In support of this motion," a court document filed on Thursday reads.

Illegal aliens have rights, you know, probably more than US citizens do.

Hopefully the motion will be denied by the state court and we will find out what he is trying to hide. There may be evidence that the Biden Administration brought the killer into the country and positioned him in Athens. Who knows for sure, but there must be a reason for the defense to want to suppress that evidence.

In one of her podcasts, Megyn Kelly made a point that there are even Congresspeople who will not even mention Riley’’s name or recognize that she was killed by someone who is here illegally..

I would hope that in an emergency invasion, small town mayors would change the gun laws for the towns temporarily. I am old and thought I was no longer capeable but just had to shoot a critter in the head to keep it from killing my chicks. Wisconsin has enough guns to be an army if called up.

I question these figures, however, on the basis that some of the other states, such as Maine, do not require gun registration. Where would the numbers come from?

As do I. I think there are many here who have dozens, if not hundreds of guns, especially considering you need several shotguns for small game and birds, medium caliber rifles--bolt action AND semi-auto--for medium game such as deer and caribou, and a multitude of larger caliber for moose, bear, and perhaps elk/wapiti. That doesn't count the handguns and carbines...and shotguns needed for self defense.
