Hal, if you can provide a video or a link to the supposed speech by Obama, please do so. I can find no such incident.

 

Its not so much the word - but how its used

 

The video only shows that Obama was called niggardly. He didn't say it.

In viewing videos and music, apparently is IS okay to use the word if you are black. The word probably would be extinct by now if everyone else , who is taught not to use it, didn't hear it all the time. It makes no sense to take an offending word and use it as a friendship endearment.

"Niggardly" is not an offensive word (in a racial sense); it means stingy. It has nothing to do with race or black people, or apparently...Obama.

 

I live in a rougher side of town. I wouldn't utter that word out loud regardless of meaning.

 

All you have to do is disagree or act contrary to minority interests and you are labeled.

Yeah, I gotta agree. I didn’t like Obama so I’m a racist.
I don’t like Kamala Harris so I’m a misogynist and a racist.
I don’t care for Butigieg so I’m a homophobe and since I like Trump, I’m still a racist.
I really do not like Hillary so I’m a deplorable sexist misogynist with tendencies toward being a racist.
I do not like Bernie so I’m an anti-Semite and a Gerontophobic even though Bernie isn’t a practicing Jew but he definitely is old.

I’m against ILLEGAL entry into the U.S. so I’m a uh.....oh dern. I guess I’m going to have to wait until they call me that again so I can remember what else I am.

Why is it you guys do not get the concept of subtlety? Or is it your zeal to take on the martyrs robe,and become a victim, like the poor set upon Christians?
None of those things listed MAKES you a racist.
If you practice, believe, or promote those things you MAY be a racist.
Big fricken ocean of difference there guys,big difference! But you just go on ahead and shoulder whatever label you feel fits!

 

You really need to listen to a few of the speeches made by your hero’s Pete. It is THEY who are saying it, not me, not the media, not even the little old lady down on the corner.
YOUR hero’s are purposely promoting the division, not mine. Everything I wrote in my post has made it to the headlines at least once (with the exception of Bernie) and said by one or more of your idols so it is possible that it is you who needs the checkup from the neck up bubba. ( I like bubba so much more than skippy, don’t you? ).
