    Good Morning everyone...

    GOOD-MORNING-FRIENDS-.jpg

    Have I wondered into a Terry Love Fest...or should I say nest? o_O;)...what's occurring...what have I missed..I've only been gone a day ..LOL>.. :D:D..

anyway...My day off today and working from home tomorrow, . Hopefully it'll give me a bit of time to feel better again. Today is forecast to be sunny but cold, and if I feel well enough I'm going out for lunch..and also I have an SLR camera I want to put through it's paces on behalf of a friend...so I'm hoping to get the chance to take some photos today.

Last night I got some really devastating family news...it's the kind of news that you think there's a possibility might happen and always prayed wouldn't, but had to stand by and observe knowing there was nothing you could do or say to prevent if happening, if it was going to, but just hoping it never would ...and now it has, and the devastation and heartbreak is far reaching. I'll say no more than that!!

Have a lovely day whatever you're doing today folks...I wish you all peace ...

Mornin'. We have another mild day on tap. Highs around 40 degrees, with some sunshine. A carbon copy of yesterday.
Speaking of carbon copies, have any of you ever met your double? Someone who looks a lot like you? Well, I've met mine, and it turned out to be quite amusing.
It happened in the 1980's. I was working as a toll collector on a bridge spanning the Mississippi river in my town. A job I held for most of 7 years. After I'd been employed for several years on the 11pm to 7am shift, a man on the day shift retired and his replacement was hired. The first day I met him I couldn't believe my eyes. He was as close to being my twin as he could get. Same height, weight, hair color, age, he even wore the same style glasses. His name was Tim.
Tim's shift alternated, meaning some nights I relieved him, and some mornings he relieved me. Now, This got confusing to our regular users of the bridge, those going to work in the mornings, or home from the bars at night. Tim and I both were often asked things like, "don't you ever go home"? or, "Logging lots of overtime, ain't you"? Many of them couldn't tell us apart. Not only that, but Tim asked me one morning why so many of the regulars try to give him beer for a free pass.
So, by then I came to trust Tim, and told him my secret. Many a night, some of the regulars gave me a can or bottle of beer for a free pass. Often, I got more beer than I could safely drink without getting drunk. The surplus I hid in the weeds near the toll house. In the winter, I buried it in snow, and always had an ice cold drink when I wanted.
To add to the confusion, Tim and I would often switch name tags, those pins with our names on that we wore on our uniform.
Early one fine summer morning before sunup, a car stopped at the toll house. A nice looking lady about my age started chatting with me, then as another car pulled up behind her, she handed me a breakfast sandwich and a container of coffee saying, "You must be hungry. Have breakfast on me". Smiling sweetly, she then drove across the bridge.
So, when there was a break in traffic, I retrieved a beer from my stash, and ate breakfast. About an hour later, the same woman returned and stopped to chat again, since traffic had eased up. I thanked her again for the breakfast, then she asked me something that set me back a notch or two. "Would you go out with me, Tim"? On gathering my wits, I looked down and noticed, I was wearing Tim's name badge.
I explained the name badge switch to her, then told her the real Tim would be on duty later.
And so, Tim and the gal got together, and lived happily ever after, and I avoided possible captivity. True story.

Good morning everyone, today is going to be the same as yesterday. Weather wise and schedule wise with the boys.

Congratulations, Tom, that's very exciting! Holly, I'm sorry to hear you got bad news. I hope you have support and comfort to get you through this tough time. Thanks, Ina, I understand the rudeness. I avoid people when my pain is bad or the migraines are acting up. It's just easier than trying to put up a front. I love the size of your living room :). Good Morning, everyone! Migraines are pushed back a little today. Sun is shining, so things are drying up, which should help somewhat. The birds are chirping, kitties are hanging by the windows to see them when they and the squirrels show up to feed. I think the temperature will be warmer today and tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to knock out some errands later or tomorrow, then rest up over the weekend and have a more productive next week. Have a great day, all!

Good morning, everyone! I'm here long enough to say that I'm logging off to get some work done now. :) I need to make my menu and store list for next week.. since it involves a few new recipes, I have to be sure that everyone I'll be needing is on my list for Saturday's shopping.

Also needing to write to my parents (yes, handwritten letters, every single week... I enjoy it!)

Coming here and checking up on all of you has become a very important part of my day! Have a good one, and I'll pop in again when my work is o're.

The photographer wanted me to wear the hat, possibly on the basis that the more of my face he could cover up, the better...
