The sun is shining here now, it always does by my daughters house, going in yo town might still be cloudy though. And as I type this I see I am getting the aura of a migraine! DRATS! I only get the vision thing and never the headache so this will last about 20 mins but I will feel drained.
When it rains, it pours. I can't complain though, never get the headache and only get these aura migraines about 3 times a year at most.
@Chrissy Page , Wow that sounds scary. Can you see at all with the visual migraines? Have you ever had them back to back before? If you are driving do you get enough time to pull over to the side of the road?
Yes, I can still see just not as well. Yes have had back to back a couple times. Only one time it happened while driving and I just continued. It only lasts about 20 mins.
Good morning everyone woke up early at 6am and watched the dawn come up over the sea most. Drinking coffee with curd for breakfast on the balcony. Not sure what we are doing today, either whale/dolphin/turtle watching or a trip into the jungle. Have a good Sunday wherever you are.
We had our breakfast on the beach this Sunday morning, this afternoon we are going shopping at a nearby town called Galle. We plan to go whale/dolphin watching tomorrow morning as it means an early start at 5:30 am The breakfast
Good Morning all...8.30am London time ....and the cars are covered in a sheet of ice....but hey ho...who cares?...no work for me today ..so I don't need to go out Terry, I often have breakfast or lunch on the beach when I'm in Spain and Greece..etc ... it's one of my favourite things to do because overall I'm not a beach person..but I still after all these years get a kick out of going to the beach Bodigas and restaurants.. @Chrissy Page I hope you're feeling better today.. Have a good day folks
Very kind words...thank you. No wife or family, however, though my partner Katusha is happy with the book because she appears in it, though naturally in a fictional guise. She is one of the good guys. Meanwhile, a brief respite from the gales today. Snow on the hills around the town, but dry at sea level for once.
Mornin'. Here in the little city on Iowa's east coast beach, it's 34 cloudy, breezy degrees. Rain later. Yesterday I made a store run because it was so nice out. We had near 50 degrees yesterday, but more seasonal weather is in store now, with temps in the 20-30 degree range. Up and down, like a freakin' see saw. Here it is, another Sunday. The church goers will be out and about in a few hours. Reminds me of other Sundays. There was a bar on the South edge of my town's city limits. They were open on Sunday mornings. On the bar was a box. It was the custom for anyone who used a swear word on Sunday, to be asked to deposit a quarter in the box. I don't remember what the money was used for. Just thought I'd throw that out there. So, be careful out there. Someone is listening and watching. Watching. Now, that brings up some unpleasant memories. Growing up, I think I was the most watched kid ever. When my dad was away in the war, all us neighborhood kids with absent dads were watched by all the neighbors. We didn't realize it then, so it didn't really matter. My mom worked full time all her life, so with dad away, she hired a live in older lady to keep tabs on me and do some of the housework. Besides her, I had two sets of grandparents and a bunch of older uncles and aunts who overseen about every move I made. When dad came home and I started school, things got even worse. By then, I started noticing the constant surveillance. Between my dad and my mom, they knew about everyone in our end of town. And, everyone they knew, knew me. One day I overheard someone tell my mom she could set her clock by me as I was on my way to school. I passed her house at the same time every day. This disturbed me. So, I started leaving my house at different times and by different routes. Worse yet, I discovered my mom was a snoop. She went through my dresser drawers, looked under my mattress, in my closet, even checked out the waste basket by my desk, to see what I was throwing away. It became a game of sorts, with me becoming more skilled at hiding things. When I reached high school, I was smoking and drinking more. I had kin in school, some in my grade, who acted as informers, so my parents were always up on what I was up to. And now, government is taking their place, with cameras everywhere, and now, drones. So, if you're determined to do evil, become a politician. They're more likely to get away with it.
Yes @Holly Saunders I am the same, not at all a beach person, but as you say a good place to wine and dine
Good morning everyone, I'm not a beach person either, lol. But love to sit and eat on the beach. My daughter and her husband got home around 1:00 am last night and the time difference is not in her favor. I'm sure we will be going shopping today. Rained all night and still raining. Have a great Sunday!
