Good morning, @Ina I. Wonder ! Weather stupidity is not limited to your area, I'm afraid. We have people flying in the roadways here (and subsequently ending up upside down in a ditch or worse) when there's a sheet of ice and warnings of black ice. Common sense has flown the coop. The only "sharpshooter" I'm familiar with are the Civil War sharpshooters or the Special Forces or SWAT sharpshooters Yours is.. a garden tool? What will you plant this year? PS... if you actually have SWAT sharpshooters, in your garden... don't tell us!
You, Sir, have a much better outlook than ol' Mari does. Yeah, we'll go with that sentiment instead of mine!!
Good Morning everyone. High on life sounds good @Mari North! .... I'm happy this morning for some reason, after a couple days of gloomy wetness. Love the greenery outside... everything blooming nicely. Spring ... Easter here we come. Hadn't thought to plant a garden this year which is something I may regret. Good luck with yours @Ina I. Wonder
Good Morning, Y'all. It's been raining off and on for days, it seems. I lost power, internet, tv, etc., a couple of times yesterday. Hoping the same doesn't happen today. I can still read during those times, or sleep, of course, but it's hard to do much else without power and internet these days. @Ina I. Wonder People here are bad drivers on the best of days, and I don't venture out when it's even sprinkling, let alone raining heavily. I've had enough people slam into me since I moved back down here to last me a lifetime. I have to go out Friday, unless the weather's bad, then I'll put it off until Monday. Until then, I am staying put. Did you see the story about the woman dancing naked on the 18-wheeler the other day? It was somewhere up north, maybe by you, I'm not sure. Apparently it went viral. She seems to have some sort of mental condition, and her family advised the police about that after the fact. The last story I read said she had recently been in somewhere for treatment. It wouldn't surprise me if the insurance company refused to pay for more treatment and she was released prematurely, and she was out driving on the road that day and got into I think it was two separate accidents. I hate those stories of the people who drive into the water thinking it's shallow, and get stuck. I was in a situation last year where there was literally no where for me to go other than ahead, and within minutes, the roadway had filled. I thought my car was a goner, but thankfully, once it dried out, it was o.k. Stay safe, and don't go out unless you absolutely have to! I haven't even had a cup of tea yet, let alone breakfast. I was waiting a few hours, so the strays didn't wake up and get all excited. I try to feed them and my kitties on somewhat of a regular schedule, otherwise they hound me all the time for food every time I go near the kitchen. Have a great day, y'all, I'm off in search of sustenance.
Hope everyone enjoys themselves today! I'll be working and popping in and out of the forum as usual. The sun here is fighting to come through the overcast sky. Ladies in Texas, are the storms finally over? @Tom Locke, happy to see you got a 5 star review on your book. @Holly Saunders your weather sounds uncharacteristically bad. It's usually milder there, isn't it? @Bonnie Thomas, love your Avi....you're very pretty!
Because while the post is being edited it's still available to view as a 'completed' post on the thread..it doesn't disappear while it's being edited...
I am off to the ballet shortly and as it's 3 hours long plus 2 intermissions I am unlikely to get back here until tomorrow, so I will wish you a good rest of your day.
That is terrible! We should be able to do a successful edit, what good is it if it goes forth with mistakes?
I agree, Ruby. I only see my mistakes after the fact and then someone has quoted it. Oh well, I just hope that people understand whatever I wrote and if it's really goofy, it was auto correct. Good morning , sunny and 78 today! That's all I have to say this morning.
@Ruby Begonia ..love your wagging doggies on your pic..just made me smile. @Terry Page..my goodness..enjoy the ballet!@Holly Saunders ...waves at you..don't work too hard kiddo @Chrissy Page..good to see you as always. We're ready for more rain. I'm running a few errands today..but nothing major planned today. Hope everyone has a super day/afternoon/evening.
Not working today @Karen McKenzie but thanks for thinking of me..just had a few spreadsheets to do this morning but it's all done now..(it's past 3pm)...back to the Pitface tomorrow...and then I have a whole long weekend off. (3 days)...yeaaah!!..altho' I do have to be at the hospital on Monday but I shouldn't be there too long..
Nice to see you too @Karen McKenzie ....we have rain predicted for tomorrow night, so we might be getting yours. It's been a very rainy March so far, hoping it helps the drought.
@Holly Saunders ..ooo good on you..a well-deserved day off..umm..now those spreadsheets aren't for fun are they? ..haha @Chrissy Page ..got my umbrella in my purse..it's not worn out yet..
