What the man is wearing is an undershirt, the woman's top is a cami, short for camisole.

Yes, that waistcoat is also called a vest.

 

We occasionally call them Cami's here, but mainly they are called vests (for women)..but the men's 'undershirt' is always called a vest!!

 

Camis are never called vests here....that I know of.

@Chrissy Page we call a cami a cami not a vest ,a mans or ladies singlet is just that ..and a Ladies or men's vest is like the picture Holly posted

 

I've never heard of a singlet.

In Queesland they call a suitcase a Port ...We call them a case ...but we all call clothes the same names

Good morning from a cold grey Monday here at 2c, Lisa is working and I am fortunate in being able to recover from a late night back after the ballet last night, it was a magical evening again, but Swan Lake is a very long performance at over 4 hours, so we didn't get to bed until 1:00 am.
It's my last couple of days here before I return home for a month, to catch up with family and friends.

Good Morning, Y'all! Here's the closest thing to a port near me (pic), and I find the various names for the same items humorous. I'm awake way too early again, so I thought I'd pop in and say Good Morning!
