It rained almost all day here. It should be warm and sunny today but I'm sure everything outside will be soggy. My knee isn't hurting as bad yet this morning, probably because I wasn't out and about as much yesterday. I've still got lots to do and there will be lots more soon as it becomes warm enough to plant the rest of the garden.

Mixed cloud and sunshine, but pleasantly still today. Had to pop out to get some milk, so I didn't take a wallet. Coming back, I found a pound coin lying on the pavement, so I came back with more money than I went out with. One way to earn a living.

We seem to have something of a finch influx. Goldfinches are flitting about everywhere and greenfinches are prominent as well. Their most common call is a rather monotonous 'zweeee' note, but they are related to canaries and have quite a few different calls and songs, though they don't seem to use them much.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope all who were feeling pain in their bodies yesterday will be free from that pain today. I hope all that felt sadness and sorrow will feel joy and peace today. And I wish for everyone a day of happiness and some memories to cherish.

Here in Florida it is supposed to rain so there probably will be no beach time again today. There's no disappointment since I have no time schedule set for going home yet so there will be plenty of time to spend at the beach. Today my brother and his companion are coming in and will be visiting with me and my sisters. We will be cooking shrimp spaghetti for them with salad and garlic bread. It's always wonderful when we have family time as this just isn't possible as much these days with us all living in different places now. My brother lives in Oregon so we really don't see enough of him and it will be nice to have more time with him today. Some things are more important than the beach. :)

Wherever all of you are and whatever you're doing today....enjoy your day in every way.

image.jpeg Beautiful morning so far. Rain predicted later. Oh well, that's Florida for you. Sun one minute, pouring the next.

Morning greetings from Iowa's east bank. Cooler and cloudy today. Got a doctor visit coming up this afternoon. Not looking forward to the trip. My bad knee has been throbbing lately. Those two weeks of therapy irritated an old knee injury. They gave me pain pills up to 4 times a day.
So, still catching up on things. After today, I'll tackle laundry, and the next day maybe a haircut and beard trim. The hair I got left is getting so long, I'm thinking of going for a Trump comb over.
I may need to buy a few new clothes. I lost over 30 Lbs. so far. Strangely enough, I don't feel hungry.
So, behave yourselves if you go out. The person you insult or irritate may be armed.:)

Oh please Ike, no Trump comb over! :) .. You've been thru a lot, but don't forget to eat, even if not that hungry.
    You need your strength.

Wow Ike, not the best way to lose 30 lbs! Try not to lose any more though unless you have to. You need to eat for strength. Just take things one step at a time or get some help from someone...I would.

Good morning everyone , sunny and 70's today. Have to go to bank and deposit the checks my kids send every month. :)

Then maybe Trader Joe's since it's in that plaza too.

Good news about my supplemental insurance. It's an HMO and doesn't cost anything. I don't get it.

I know I'm limited to my area for drs etc but that's fine with me. No deductibles either...I'll see what the catch is I guess later, lol.

    Have a great day!

@Ike, do you have (or qualify for) someone who comes in to help with chores/errands? It sounds as if that would be helpful. A friend is on Medicaid, and they cover the cost of that, but the benefits seem to vary by state.

Thanks, y'all re: pain, some days/periods are just worse than others. Even a bug/cat bite or the touch of those weeds in the yard seems to activate all of the connective tissues and my whole body gets inflamed. Today's not quite as bad. I hope everyone has a decent day pain-wise. @Holly Saunders Working became progressively more difficult for me, between pain and limitations, and towards the end, all I was doing was struggling to work and recover on my time off, with no life, really. I hope the pain clinic is able to find something that works for you.

Good Morning, Y'all. It's overcast, but I don't think we'll have severe weather, although we're supposed to get a few showers later.

@Ina I'm already on both. After I pay living expenses & insurance, there's nothing left. That's just how life is right now. Hopefully something will change for the better in the future. I did win $1 on Mega Millions the other night, so there's that ;). I've got my errands done for the next week, but thanks, I appreciate the offer :).

I'm going to take it easy today, not much sleep again. Maybe I can catch a nap at some point. That's one thing I like about thunderstorms, they tend to lull me to sleep. The kitties are letting me know it's time to go feed them. I guess I could use a little food and coffee, too. This sounded very down, but I'm actually in a good mood. Y'all have a great day!!

Tell me what I won't get. It seemed to cover everything I needed now.

I got this HMO because my dr recommended it, so the dr I've been going to for 14 yrs takes it. Also the hospital that I would want to go to takes it.

It does cover everything. You just don't get the 'quality' of doctors like a PPO. That's all. Yours might be great!
I've just not enjoyed dealing with the doctors that I'm seeing ... or was seeing. I haven't been into the doctors office in two years.
