Good Afternoon all.... The sun is just emerging after a morning of Rain...I've been up since 6am, but I've been very slow to catch up with myself today. GOOD morning, everyone! I did my grocery trip and was back by 7:30. Wanted to beat the snow but it didn't work. I came out of the store and everything was already covered. When I got back, my daffodils were wearing a white cap. This isn't typical but it's not totally unusual either... I remember frosts in mid May, but it *is* rather strange to be getting 4 inches of snow this far into April. What's on everyone's agendas for today? I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet, but it will definitely be something inside!
It's pouring here Mari and I woke up way too early and already feel like I have a hangover, which I dont but that's how I feel when I don't get enough sleep. So, I won't be doing too much today.
It seems many of us woke up early today, I wonder why? I've got that hangover feeling myself, but just started drinking coffee, so I'm hoping the wave of coffee sloshing into me will push back the fatigue. Did a few chores already. I think it's mainly going to be a reading and TV day, although a nap might take precedence. I want to take the cats out for a few hours of fresh air on the balcony, but need to check the weather first. Grr, the squirrels are cute, but they're taking over the feeder, no shyness at all. Two doves came and ate at the feeder yesterday, and I'm hoping the others are just getting used to the new situation and will be back soon. Have a great Saturday, all!
I'd sure rather have rain than what I'm seeing... this is ridiculous! I hope you'll be able to get some rest today, @Chrissy Page ... I know that feeling you described, and it's horrid. Are your muscles healing from the fridge episode?
Good morning fellow seniors, from the computer room of Ike, with the alley view. I'm seeing a cold but sunny day out there. Got my lab visit out of the way this morning. It went better than I expected, giving my stiff and wobbly condition. I usually loosen up later in the day, but the lab starts to fill up with patients then, so my daughter took me as soon as they opened. Daughter did what laundry I had, so i'm just gonna kick back and pick on liberals on the news sites. It was only in the low 20's here this morning. Clear and sunny though. Wish I was out hunting coyotes with my grandson and son. So, be careful out there. The zombies are running in packs.
@Mari North, yes my muscles are healing. Only feel it when I have to use the toilet. Still haven't put my fridge back, every time I move it I get a little water.
Good morning everyone. Kate I hope you are feeling better by now. Ike, we also go to the lab early. We like to get it out of the way and then go over a few stores to the Starbucks for coffee. We had a lot of rain last night so I'm happy. In about an hour we are going down to the flat lands to our grandson's and haul off a queen size mattress and box springs to the dump. His dad had us bring he and his wife up a new set from LA last week. I hope everyone has a wonderful week end.
Mornin. It's 41 overcast degrees at the wee hour of 12:30am. Just thought I'd see what others are doing at this hour, since I can't sleep anyway. I'm craving a coffee but think I'll hold out until a later hour. Late night TV is pretty crappy. Either I seen 'em all many times, or it's a zombie/vampire/monster movie. So, 'til later, nighty night.

Same weather here as you @Terry Page , cars all iced up but the sky already very blue at 8am....forecast says it will e sunny 'till mid-day and then cloudy after which is a shame. I'm off down to Marlow later to celebrate my daughter big 40th Birthday and have lunch at a beautiful pub deep in the countryside.. What do you do when you can't sleep? I guess say Good Morning on the Good Morning thread. It's almost 3 a.m. and my husband gets up around 4:30 or 5 to make coffee. I might be heading down the hall to bed as he's heading for the kitchen.
Oh dear that's what a I call early rising @Linda Binning ,you will be ready to head back to bed at lunch time I'm getting close to turning in ,its just before 9 pm here right now
