It's the one's in Illinois that would like to see it. Any chance it's going to St. Louis airport?

They live too far from O'Hare. I'll mention it anyway. They do sometimes go to Chicago. Thanks Bonnie.

Good Morning everyone. I'm at my daughter's in LA and having a second cup of coffee and then I'm not sure what we are going to be doing today. I know we are going to go buy my youngest granddaughter a sleeping back that will go down to -20 or -7. That's the plan anyway. At 9 she is getting hard to think up gifts for so I think a sleeping bag will be great for slumber parties and once a year they have a camp out on their property with friends so it should work out well. I hope all of you have a wonderful day.

Good morning everyone, thank you for all your good wishes, thoughts and prayers, I have felt too sad these last few days to come on here but @Chrissy Page has passed on your good wishes to me, in our off forum conversations.

Jo is still alive but now fully unconscious at home in a hospital bed, with all the paraphernalia of morphine and oxygen feeds that go with that, plus daily doctor and nursing support. Both my daughters and I did manage to say our goodbyes on Wednesday, during Jo's last few lucid moments, which was a blessing.

It is for me very distressing because of the similarities with Jo's sister (my wife) Pat, who died in a similar way with the same kidney cancer at age 45 some 20 years ago now, this has caused me to relive that very distressing death.

Jo's husband John is an amazing carer and never leaves her side, but the strain of watching his wife of over 50 years slip away from him but her body still be there, is a terrible burden to bear. I am in daily contact by phone, but until the inevitable happens he is stuck in an intolerable hell, which none of us can release him from.

Sorry to cast such a gloomy note over this thread, but as the saying goes "a worry shared is a worry halved"
I have a lot of catching up to do on the forum, though Chrissy has kept me up to speed with some of the gossip ;) in our many hangouts conversations.

Have a good weekend and live each moment to the full.

    Good Morning Terry...

I am so sad for you and your family.....this has to be the hardest thing in the world to have to watch for Jo's husband and family...and for you, yourself to have to endure the pain of witnessing this twice in one lifetime . We can only hope that her passing now will be swift and painfree..

Thank you Holly, yes as you say it is of course terrible for John especially, my daughter Cathy a nursing sister said that terminal patients like Jo can and do live for some 3 weeks without any food or liquids, we haven't mentioned this fact to John, but hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

th (67).jpg Good Morning! :) @Terry Page It's good to have you back even under the sorrowful circumstances and thoughts and prayers continue for all of you. I hope everyone has a relaxing and peaceful weekend. My Honey and I are going to plant some border flowers today and there is an adopt a pet event later this morning that we will go check out too. You just never know when "Scruffy" might show up and want to come home with us. Allergies or not...my heart is going to go for the puppy it's yearning for and trust that everything will work out just fine. Sunday, we will be grilling and have invited our widowed neighbor to join us for a meal. His companion died about 8 months ago and he has not got his bearings again without her yet. Some seasons of life bring much sorrow...but our hearts will know joy in those seasons too. May we all find joy among our sorrows this weekend,
