th (15).jpg The sun is shining once again this morning and the wind is calm too so I am going to take my allergy meds and spend some time outside this weekend. Hope most of you are having beautiful weather and will get to soak in some of it too this weekend. May this be a special weekend for one and all and go out and make some memories to cherish forever! :)

Mornin'. Got my lab visit out of the way. Had my daughter stop at McDonald's for breakfast. I splurged on 2 sausage/cheese/egg muffins. It'll take me a couple days to get back to normal again, but dang, they tasted good.
So, my days worth of energy is used up now. Ain't goin' nowhere, ain't doin' nothin'.
So, my grandson had his first race of the season Friday night. Part of his suspension gave out, so he didn't do well. Maybe next week.
I remember going to fairground races in the late 50's and early 60's. They called them jalopy races. Cars up to 1948 were used. Old Buicks with the inline 8 engines were highly prized then. They usually out performed everything else.
My dad had a 1941 Buick Roadmaster inline 8 with twin carbs. He disconnected one carb to save gas. Even with only one carb, it would still do near 100MPH.
I think I feel a nap time approaching. take care, y'all.:)

Good morning my friends. I'm sorry that I've not been around much lately, but cleaning up after a flood is a messy job. I recieved an 18" hole in my roof from a falling pecan tree branch, and today the tree trimmer comes back today to te remove the pecan tree and trim a really big 65' oak tree that shades my home.

I can't do much in the way of trimming and toteing the large branches off to the back pasture, but I can watch and keep the burn pile in check. That's what I did yesterday, and I'll be at it today.

Anybody have any ideas of how to raise my BP. For the last couple of weeks, by 2ish pm it goes down to around 85/64, and I've passed out twice this week. Thank goodness my 25 y/o grandson decided to stay with me until my doctors can figure out what's going on. At least he can pick me up. I had an appointment with a cardiologist the day the flooding started, so of course they had to cancel my appointment, and the quickest they can reschedule is May 5th.

I wish I were even a little rich. The remove of the pecan tree, and trimming of the oak has cost me over $800, and I still have to get the hole in my roof fixed.

This reminds me of the title of a soap opera my mother used to watch called "As The World Turns".

I hope to get everything straighten out this week. I know that @Diane Lane , is safe because of her postings, and I called @Bonnie Thomas three time, but I got nothing but a recording so far. I hope she is ok. Much of her area is still flooded, so I can't go see if she is Ok.

So I'll become a daily pest again after the rest of the cleanup is done around here, and you guys will have to help me catch up on everyone.

Good Morning, @Ina I. Wonder That's really worrisome about @Bonnie Thomas. Would she recognize the number? If not, perhaps she's just using her phone for the bare minimum and trying to save juice? Sorry about your roof. Will insurance cover that/reimburse you, assuming you have insurance? The trees here always concern me, since the landlady is not diligent about repairs. Are you dehydrated, Ina? Here's an article with a few ways to naturally raise blood pressure: http://naturimedica.com/low-blood-pressure-how-to-raise-it-naturally/ and here's another from the Mayo Clinic, about how to increase blood pressure: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/low-blood-pressure/basics/treatment/con-20032298 I used to have that issue when I was younger, but lately, I've had the opposite, mainly due to the chronic pain.

It's a beautiful day here. The sunrise was inspirational, streaks of pink and purple on the horizon, which unfortunately, my tablet camera wouldn't pick up. I'm so glad it's Sunday, and I fully intent to do a little resting today. It's amazing what a little medication can do. A week ago, at the ER, my blood pressure was up to around 220/170, and now it's normal, around 125/70, which it hasn't been in quite a few years. I'm testing it several times a day. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

    Good Morning! :)
@Ina I. Wonder Try a heaping spoon full of sugar in a cup of orange juice for that low blood pressure. I'm glad to hear that you are getting some help for the cleanup but sorry to heart what it is going to cost you...hope insurance will take care of your roof and that our Creator will take care of the rest.

Good Morning All. :) Grilling and Chilling today with my Honey. It's Nascar Sprint Cup race day too and we'll be watching that here at home while munching down on grilled burgers and hot dogs with home made chili, chips, and a couple of barley pops. In between we will be in and out enjoying the sunshine and watching the antics of our birds, squirrels, and whoever else decides to pay us a visit today. May all of you have a fun filled day with lots of joy and laughter.

Please take care of yourself Ina, you don't want to be passing out while near the burn pile. We are praying for you.

Well-said, @Joe Riley ! We definitely do not want our @Ina I. Wonder passing out anywhere, and most definitely not close to the burn pile. We are praying for you as well, my dear friend.
I have never heard of orange juice with sugar helping low blood pressure, only low blood sugar; however it seems worth a try.
Possibly you are not eating enough foods with SALT in it ?
Salt will thicken your blood, and that should help to bring up the blood pressure. This is one of the reasons that so many older people get heat stroke and pass out, is because we are told not to use salt.
Too much salt is certainly not good either; but not enough is bad, too.
If you are just eating fruits and other light foods, you are probably not using much salt; so get something that you use salt on, or even chips or crackers, and see if that might help your blood pressure.
