Good Morning, Y'all. It's a nice day so far, with the sun shining through my office window. I've been apprehensive for days about the surgery, but thankfully, that will be over with in a few hours, one way or the other. I choose to think that after some healing, I'll start feeling much better, and can reclaim my life! I'm glad it will be sunny most of this week, that should help with my healing, and I'll be able to take the kitties out...they've been somewhat rambunctious during this extended rainy period. Have a nice Wednesday!
Good morning all! @Diane Lane , sending prayers your way for a successful surgery and quick recovery. Prescribing a sunny day for everyone!
The rain is gone, and it is another sunshiney day here in Alabama. Bobby is still finishing up the house he has been rennovating; but we have not been to the fitness center this week, and that is on the schedule for this morning........... Yea ! I have been planting irises as I work in the yard; so next year we should have more of them coming up and blooming. I talked with @Ina I. Wonder yesterday, and she is doing okay; but she is still having the blurriness in her vision that makes it hard to read. She asked me to say hello to everyone for her, and let you all know that she misses everyone. Tomorrow is her cardiologist appointment, and hopefully, they can get a handle on what is causing the dizzy spells and low blood pressure. Please keep Ina in your prayers !
Good morning folks. It's Friday. Shopping day for me. I'll be stopping at the recycle center, the bank, the drug store, the grocery store and the feed store. Gotta eat breakfast first, it's not good for me to be in a grocery store when I'm hungry. The garden is mostly doing good. The potatoes and beans and one of the peppers are starting to bloom. I pick asparagus every other day. The okra is the only thing I planted that hasn't come up yet. Coffee's on, it's time for you old folks to rise and shine.
Mornin'. It's 48 degrees here in the beautiful downtown little city once known as Bloomington. The skies are clear and we're heading for a sizzling 80+ degrees today. Gadzooks! That's quite a jolt. Rode ol' flash to the store yesterday. He's getting tired. I think I see new batteries in his future later. Can't seem to get my weight below a certain point. At least it's holding steady and not gaining. And, I'm doing good about eating healthier and measuring out proportions. Don't know what I'll do today. Maybe just lounge around. I did that most of yesterday, but I didn't finish it yet. Be careful out there. If you drive, stay off the sidewalks.
GADZOOKS "With a goofy name like Gadzooks, one might expect the outlet to ply novelty items and toys like Spencer's Gifts. In fact, it started as a T-shirt shop. Each store featured a chopped up section of a Volkswagen Beetle for decor. Gadzooks went kerplunk in 2005, when it was purchased by Forever 21 and phased out". http://www.metv.com/lists/13-bygone-mall-stores-we-want-to-shop-at-again
I'd never heard of Gadzooks ,thanks for sharing @Joe Riley and thanks for the well wishes. I survived, yay. Still dealing with getting over the recovery hump. Having some issues with antibiotics, but that's not unusual for me. It's a gorgeous day outside. Just took out the trash and waved to the neighbors all around. I'm actually eating an egg and tea for breakfast, so I must be feeling better! Hope everyone has a great day. @Yvonne Smith Thanks for updating us on @Ina I. Wonder I hope she's able to figure out what's wrong and get it fixed soon.
Good Saturday Morning, Y'all. It's still somewhat dark, but I can hear the birds calling out back. The sun is rising over the beach, giving the sky a slight orange glow at the tree line. I heard some sort of alarm, apparently off in the distance, which woke me up, so here I am. It looks as if it's going to be a beautiful day, hope everyone enjoys it!
Mornin'. Cloudy with showers in the area on this Saturday morning. Think I'll just putter around the building today. Don't like going out much anymore. I'm finally settled into my old ways again. Used to be, I could easily adapt to any sudden changes in the order of things. Not anymore. I tend to get upset when something changes my normal routine. Son came over from Ames to visit me yesterday. It was good to see him. Hope he stops by again before he goes back. We hit 84 degrees yesterday. Only gonna be in the low 70's today, we're told. Gonna quit babbling now, and watch FOX news. Remember, if you see it on the internet, it must be true.
Mornin'. Happy mom's day to all the mothers out there. We have an overcast 52 degrees at 7am here in the little city on Iowa's east coast. Rain in the area. M-m-m, that coffee's good. So was the oatmeal. Feelin pretty good, aside from all my usual aches and pains. Watched one of my favorite movies last night. "Blue Velvet" with Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern. Hopper plays "crazy" in a most convincing way. So, guess today I'll do Sunday stuff. It's the same as any other day's stuff, only on a different day. Behave yourselves. Don't make mom mad today.
Good morning all and a special "hey" to all Mothers & Grandmothers! Bless all of today's "Modern Moms"!
