Ha ha @Ike Willis perhaps he's trying to sneak something through a metal detector? Good Morning, Y'all. It was another sleepless night, but at least I did some reading and caught a few winks. The sky is a bit brighter today, but hopefully it won't be too hot. The loud guy next door is apparently the new tenant. I could tell from the bass I heard coming down the street in the middle of the night and again this morning. Maybe he works the night shift at one of the plants or somewhere else on a 24-hour schedule. If that's his only down side, I'll try to tune it out and be happy. I'm considering baking another banana bread later, but not until after a nice hot bath. I'm still achy from the lawn/ditch trimming the other day, but a hot bath and some medication should help with that. I hear a cardinal outside my window, so I guess it's time to go feed the birds and maybe take a few pictures. Have a nice day, y'all!
Mornin'. Don't know what's going on with the weather today. I mean, it's a Friday and there's no rain in the forecast for us. This means tonight is race night for my grandson. Good luck Josh. Keep the pedal on the floor and turn left. Last night was a pretty poor TV night. I gave up early and was asleep by around 9pm. Woke up about 1:30am this morning, in time to watch a Chuck Norris movie I hadn't seen before. Forget the title, but it involved a dog. Fell back asleep after Chuck beat hell out of or killed all the baddies. So, I don't know what today will bring. No surprises, I hope. Have a good 'un, y'all.
Good Morning All. We had lots of rain here at my daughter's yesterday and the TV went out for awhile so I put a dvd on for my granddaughter and when she tired of that, I read her a few books and helped her with her puzzles. My daughter was glad to get in a little shopping time by herself because now that she has an almost two year old who doesn't want to stay still...shopping has become a chore instead of a pleasure to my daughter. In a few months she will have two little ones to take shopping with her and she has no idea what she will be in for then. Tomorrow we head back to Louisiana where we will be attending High School Graduation for my oldest Granddaughter on Saturday night and then a combo Graduation and Birthday Party on Sunday for the one who graduated and the birthday party for another granddaughter who is now officially a teenager. Life is sure flying by these days! Count your many blessings today and thank the Lord for everyone of them. And may your day surprise you with extra blessings and joy!
Good Morning Seniorrrrrrrrrrrr Groupppppp said in the way Robin Williams did in Good Morning Vietnam.. Today, is the day the Septic tank gets pumped out. Joy of Joys. I have to go to the store in a while, so ex is coming to babysit the phone and the house in case they call well I am out. Here is hoping everyone enjoys their day!! Honestly, I will be glad to get this septic cleaning ticked off the list. I really have so many projects I should be doing, and this was one.
I saw the previews of that film in the theater. It looked horrible. I mean DeNiro could afford to be a bit more selective in his work instead of taking any half baked script that comes his way. He is a great artist, and I am sure he doesn't need the money at this point. Someone should have a talk with him. He should want to leave a legacy of good work for future generations. Dirty Grandpa is one to skip for sure.
Just from the name of it (Dirty Grandpa), I would skip it. I like DeNiro, and still want to see him in The Intern, but I'd forgotten all about that until I read @K E Gordon's post above mine. Good Morning, Y'all, Happy Friday! The skies opened up yesterday, and it rained all day. It was quite dark in the house, and I try at all costs to avoid turning the lights on during the day, but I had no choice after I tripped over a cat. I baked another banana bread, but was distracted because a loved one was in surgery, and I forgot to add the coconut, so it turned out to be cranberry blackberry (fresh blackberries) banana bread. Now I have plenty of coconut to make Coconut Bars. I'll post the recipe in the Food section, in case anyone wants to make them. The recipe looks easy. It's trash day again, that's out, the litter boxes have been scrubbed and litter totally replaced, bed's stripped, with fresh new sheets on it, and I'll do some laundry in a bit. Yay. I love productive days/weeks. I'm so thankful I'm getting back a little of the energy I'd lost for so long when I had that systemic infection. @Babs Hunt it sounds as if you've had a lovely visit, and your weekend sounds fun, as well. @K E Gordon I can't say getting the septic system pumped sounds like fun, but I'm sure you'll be glad to cross that off your To Do List! Hope everyone's having a fabulous day!
Holy moly, did I oversleep this AM. Got up at 6:30am. It's near 7 now. I'm late for my day of doing as little as possible. Oh well, I'll catch up. I should wander over to the farmers market this morning. Wonder if that cute Amish gal is still selling baked goods there? They're bakery goods were the best. I can't have that stuff anymore anyway. Well, since I got such a late start I better get going. Had I got up on time, it would almost be nap time now. Bye 4 now.
I knew there was a reason I should get up and get going. Today is world whisky day. Honest. Look it up. It's on the 'net, so it must be true.
Good Morning !! Here,. I work up to pouring rain. Even now, it looks like it is about 8:30 pm here instead of 9:18 in the morning. They just said on TV that we have broken records for the most rain in May ever. One side benefit of this rain other than the greenery is the fact that it is keeping temps down, thus electric costs down. The last bill was the lowest I have seen for awhile...and this next one should be the same..Can I get a Hallejullah brother??
Hallelujah and Amen, to boot. I'm always thankful when the electric bills are lower. It's been very rainy here, as well. I thought the storms yesterday were it, but I woke up in the middle of the night to loud thunder and lightning again, then torrential rain. The sun peeked out a bit ago, but now it's clouding up again. I think today's the neighbor's wedding, so I hope they have umbrellas handy. I just finished doing everything that needed to be done before I could sit down and enjoy my breakfast and some forum posting. I can't believe it's almost 10 a.m. I'm going to try to knock out my online chores early, just in case I need to shut it down later. Hope everyone has a great day. Congrats to your grandson, @Ike Willis!
Awww gee, and here I am fresh out of Goth apparel...Wouldn't ya know it? Does anybody know the way to the Goth store? I gotta take a trip!
