Mornin'. Here in the land where bacon is born it's an overcast 73 degrees at 6am, with rain in the forecast. Good. It's cooler today. Only supposed to hit about 83 today. That's 10 degrees less than yesterday.
So, I guess all my family survived Friday night. Some just barely. Grandson had some trouble staying upright.

He's ok though. He'll live. His injury is too far away from his heart.

150010-Sunday-Blessings.jpg Good Morning All. @Ike Willis so glad to hear that your grandson was not seriously hurt. @Diane Lane hope kitty is doing well today and you too. It's Sunday and tomorrow we will pick up my husband at the train station. Sweet! :) Today, be good to yourselves and go over to @Joe Riley's Bake Shop and get yourself a large slice of your favorite pie. I just had my slice of coconut cream with my morning cup of coffee and it was just heavenly. A Blessed day to all!

Good morning everyone, didn't sleep too well. Still not feeling good. I just can't seem to eat and I was on the skinny side to begin with. I don't have an ounce of strength so don't know what I'll do today, but I'm guessing the same as yesterday....nothing. :(

At least it's cooler, upper 80's and I thought I heard thunder very early morning which is strange here.

Glad your grandson is ok, Ike...that looked scary.

@Babs Hunt, I'll head over to @Joe Riley 's but I need something to give me strength that I don't have to eat...any pies in IV form?

I do hope everyone has a great Sunday.

@Chrissy Page Do you have a favorite flavor? Maybe you could pick up some Boost or similar shakes, for those times when you're under the weather and don't have much of an appetite? Hope you're feeling better soon.

Good Morning, Y'all. It's been thunderbooming off and on for hours now, but no rainfall, at least where I am. That's o.k., because we're still plenty wet from the past few months, and the flowers are really blooming, tons of buds and blossoms. My kitty seems to be improving still, although she'll be on pain medication for about another 4 days. She's gotten up in the windows and is chirping at the birds, has gotten up on the bed on her own, and actually showed up downstairs for breakfast today. I've been feeding her upstairs, trying to keep her somewhat contained so I can keep an eye on her, but I guess I have to loosen the reins a bit ;).

I shut the computer off early last night and watched a few movies on Netflix, then finished a book I was reading. It's nice to 'unplug' sometimes, even though I was still streaming via the router and reading e-books. As the weather heats up, I'm transitioning to spending a little more time downstairs where it's cooler, and since my laptop's broken and the tablet's not that functional, I'm online less, which is o.k. with me. Hope everyone has a restful Sunday.

Good morning everyone, 95 today. Got up too early again, 2:30 AM, so another long day since I'm unable to nap.

Hope everyone's day is better than mine, don't think it could be much worse. :)

Greetings from sunny, gonna be hot Iowa. The state where corn is grown and bacon is born. Well, good news. My Facebook friend list is shorter now, since the shooting in Orlando, the result of many arguments with liberals.:D
Been up since 5am, it's 7 now and I ain't had breakfast yet, only coffee. I'm gonna have to see what tasteless and disgusting thing I can rustle up. Can't have cereal, no milk. Can't have sausage, only a little left and I'm saving that. Got oatmeal, but no syrup. Oatmeal by itself is like eating soggy cardboard. Got eggbeaters, but they're tasteless unless liberally doused with ketchup or hot sauce. Got bread. Looks like it's gonna be toast and coffee.:(
Other than that, I'm feelin pretty upbeat today. Might even do a few chores around here. See y'all later. Don't ask me what time. I never know.

Good Morning to one and all. It is a super beautiful morning here in the Virginia Piedmont and blessedly cool, after how hot and humid it has been. I might do some work in my shed today because I really need to get that straightened out. I might store some of the books I have in there temporarily. There is plenty of space in there really it just needs to be organized...as do most things around here!

Good Morning, Y'all. Sneaking it in just before the noon hour. I've already been out and about. I wanted to knock out my errands before the rain started pouring down. @Ike Willis have you tried putting a little brown sugar in the oatmeal? It livens it up a bit, and all it takes is a small amount. @Babs Hunt sounds as if you're going to have a great day, enjoy! The sky actually cleared up once I got home, but I don't know how long that will last. I might try to squeeze a nap in, if I don't make some coffee. Hope everyone has a nice day!

Tried brown sugar and like it---Too much. I'm diabetic, so I cut out sugar and am on a low sodium diet, so I use unsalted butter and sugar free pancake syrup, when I got it. All out of the syrup though.

Mornin'. Well, it's now 6:30am, a cloudy 73 degrees, rain this afternoon. Supposed to get into the low 90's. Very humid.
So, I been up since 5am. Had my bowl of wet cardboard flavored oatmeal and 1 mug of coffee flavored coffee. Hey, I wonder, if I added coffee to the oatmeal....Nah, think I tried that once. Oh well, I get groceries tomorrow. That'll solve that problem.
Bad news. My scooter batteries totally gave out yesterday when I went to the lobby to get my mail. Had to get a push to get back to my apartment. Last time I got batteries was over 3 years ago. Cost about $180+ for 2. They'll probably be over $200 by now.
I'm gonna get me 'nother mug of coffee. Y'all want some?:)

Good Morning and Happy Flag Day, Y'all. It's also my Dad's and Pa's (maternal grandfather) birthdays. They are both departed, but I still think of them every time I see a flag and hear the phrase Flag Day.

It's somewhat sunny today, and will no doubt be a scorcher. The trash is out, everyone's fed, and I'm going to take a nice hot bath in a bit. That should limber me up enough to get a few things accomplished today. I'm more than halfway through the current book I'm reading, and I may just finish it today, but I'll hold off on that reward until I accomplish a few chores.

@Ike Willis Do you get any help with paying for things like scooter batteries? I know it's difficult to come up with chunks of money like that when you're on a fixed income. I can't wait until I win the lottery, because I plan to set up a fund to help people with things like that.

Have a great day, y'all. Stay safe & weather aware.

image.jpeg Good day to all of you good people. I hope everyone is feeling better. I'm down to passing out to about once every couple of weeks now. I hear the kids of today are cutting off their air flow to their brains because it gives them some sort of high. All I'm getting are bruises, and tired of telling my grandson, "No, truely, I'm fine, I just got up too quick." I hate the worried look on his face though. But if he wasn't willing to stay with me, I would have to leave this home that carries so many memories of my family.

No help paying for them. I could have got a scooter through Medicare or something. However, being the picky type, I wanted one made in the USA, so I bought it myself, to be sure that's what I got. There's lots of scooters on the market, made in lots of places.
