Good day to everyone. It is so beautiful outside. I don't get to go out there, but I can see it. Last year was the first summer I had to deal with my summer confinements by myself. Before, I had always had my husband and son to keep me company. So last year I started to get claustrophobic about even the idea of shutting the windows and doors so that the a/c could be turned on for the summer. Then I got the idea of replacing my screen door with a glass one. So off to Home Depot I went. Boy did I learn a lot about glass doors. I ended up with a full glass door that my 200 pound grandson couldn't kick his way through. Eureka!!!

So this year I can set in my a/c and still look outside to see the birds waking up, the squirrels teasing my little Izzy, or my neighbors riding down the road on their horses. Across the road from me cows, goats, and horses are always visable, and up to all kinds of shenanigans.

A big plus for not selling my house, yet.

Is your grandson still there, @Ina I. Wonder ? Also, did they manage to draw blood or do the chemical stress test?

Mornin'. It's 2:30am here in the state where bacon is born and corn is grown. It's gonna be in the low 90's under clear skies again today, they tell us. At least the humidity is down. Last night I could breath again. Just couldn't sleep more than two hours. Been up since 1am.
That mug of coffee was good. Maybe i'll have another, along with some scrambled egg-like stuff (egg beaters). I long for real eggs.
Why does food that tastes so good have to be so bad for us? Or, is it all some kind of conspiracy to get us away from eating real meat, and other real food? You know, PETA and all that.
So, it's closing in on 3am. Guess I'll go eat my handful of pills of assorted sizes and colors, check my vitals, cook up some egg beaters, maybe i'll cheat and add some sausage.
Today looks easy so far. All I got on my schedule is, empty the waste baskets, pick up the mail, eat and nap. I think I can handle that.
    You'all have a great day. :)

Good Morning Kiddos! I woke up again after 5.5 hours of sleep, which is really not enough, although I don't need 8. I am sitting here right now kind of sleepy, gotta make some coffee. Ha, the only time I slept late this week was the day I wanted to get to the flea market early, of course that day I was up at like 9:20 or something......Sigh! Hope everyone has a good day!!!!

Good Morning, Y'all. Oh man, I love popsicles. I got addicted to banana ones last year. I'll have to pick some up next time I'm at the store, which might be Wednesday. I'm almost out of freeze pops. Grrr, i just sprayed the balcony for fleas and here comes a squirrel scratching away. I want to be able to take the cats out there without issues, and don't want us tracking fleas in the house, which is all carpeted...lovely. I call it crapet.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. The sun's up, and the AC is on already. Guess it's time to get my day started. Hope y'all have a good one.

Every day is a brand new day.jpg Good Morning All. I did get to see th Sunrise this morning but I didn't think I would as I woke up to booming thunder and lots of lighting. It cleared quickly though and now the sun is up, the birds are feeding and I'm finished my cup of coffee and gearing up for a busy day. Hope all of you have a blessed day in every way. :)

Good morning everyone, my A/C is on also already. It's going to be 107 today. Have to get a refill at Walgreens and that is the highlight of my day unless I feel ambitious and do some cleaning....right now I'm thinking it won't happen but just like kittens and puppies I get a burst of energy around 4-5 for some reason.

Hope everyone has a stress free day.

I love Banana Popsicles too Diane Lane, they are my favorite. Food Lion always has them, so I usually get at least one box per summer. I know what you mean by crapet. I have replaced most of the hideous indoor/outdoor carpet that was in here..with laminate flooring, but there a couple of rooms that still have it. This house is really very nice, not sure what the builder was thinking when he put that stuff down!

Happy feet today. Heard we have a 50% chance of rain tomorrow. It has been so HOT here in Texas. If it rains, I may have to dance in it!

Good Morning, Y'all. @Texas Beth I saw on local news today was supposed to be most severe day of the rainy ones, but don't know if that's the case where you are, too. I'm hoping they're right, because I'm home today and out tomorrow.

Sitting here with a snuggly kitty in my lap, she's purring away. I've got lots to do today, so I figured I'd get up early and get started, since the neighbors woke me up. I'll hopefully catch a nap later. I lost power last night, then no cable/internet/phone for a bit, for some unknown reason. It seems to be happening a lot lately, but at least it's back on now. Hope everyone has a great day!

Sounds like me... I never get enough sleep. I don't need 8 hours, or even 7, but golly, it would sure be a luxury to get SIX hours once in a while, ya know?

Mornin'. Looks like it's gonna be a nice day here in Iowaland. But then, every day in Iowa is a nice day.
It's clear, sunny and only supposed to hit 80 today. Humidity is a bit high though.
I got nothing going on. Not 'til 4pm. Then, I gotta see my doc.
Guess I'll get 'nother mug of coffee and cruise the 'net awhile.
Be careful out there. The 'crats are getting rowdier.

Well last night I got a bit more sleep. I think it may have been over 6. I took some diphendrymine last night which helps me to sleep, and that can make a difference. Also, I was reading an article on tips for a good sleep, and it said to use lavender scent on your pillows and sheets. I tried that...I wonder if it helped? Anyway cat may have been wondering why we were sleeping on a bed of flowers....lol.
