Think there's more video if you look on Fresno news links, think they may have released some recently but I'm not sure. The point though was in all the comments, that it only makes national news if it's a black teen. I'm sure more black teens are shot but many of the white teens shot don't make headlines. Truth is, ALL lives matter...black, blue or white. Blue being police. True, there are too many bad cops and that needs to be addressed and they need to be weeded out. There are probably more good cops than bad and it would do the whole police dept a lot of good to Get rid of the bad ones. I also think rioting only makes matters worse, causes more of a divide. This is how I see things.
Yes, I see lots of talk about the subject on social media, long before the Dallas incident. I also think it's interesting how the supposed 'black leaders' don't seem to care about blacks killed elsewhere, such as in Chicago. They don't want to discuss black on black crime/violence, and don't want to address problems within their community. We had one of their mouthpieces show up here after an incident, and he was run out of town. Blacks are definitely not the only ones shot by police, and it's well known that certain problem personality types tend to be attracted to specific fields, especially ones where they are able to wield power over others. They are the ones who need to be sought out and gotten rid of, and the rest left to do their jobs in relative peace. Despite their claims, our society is more integrated than ever, and most people of various backgrounds get along just fine, but that doesn't line their pockets, so they promote radical causes and get the weak minded fired up, so they can generate more income via speaking fees and high positions within their fake charitable causes. Good Morning, Y'all, and Happy Saturday. As usual, I was up way too early, and hope to get a few more hours of sleep in a bit. I've got one window open for a little breeze, and Ryan is reveling in it. I opened it just to check which direction the barking was coming from. Sounds are sometimes distorted here for some reason, and I needed to make sure the dogs weren't going after the stray cats again. I've made a mess this week being creative, and will probably spend some time today organizing my supplies. I hope everyone has a nice day!
Good Morning to one and all. A hot one here in Central Virginia. I took the little dog out this AM for his morning constitutional. He is a cute dog, but I think he needs to go to "lickers anonymous." You can't ever have him anywhere near you without him going into a licking frenzy...face, ears, nose. I have to look him right in the eyes, and say Jax...no licking!! My face is wet! lol.
@K E Gordon , Is it your little dog, or are you puppy sitting? I've had to cut back on reading because my eyes get so blurry, so I might/must have missed a post about the little dog. I too arise early concerning my little Izzy. First, it's let him out the door, then I head for the bathroom for a wash rag to rewash my face after his joyful morning kisses. Much of my day is dictated by Izzy's needs as I have few. He's my buddy. @Diane Lane , what kind of creativity are you up to this time? What are you doing to keep busy, and stay out of the heat? I'm still weaving, but most of the time I seem to sleep, watch TV, or read when I can.
GOOD morning all you beautiful, beautiful people! And happy Sunday. I've already had my breakfast... one of my new favorites... artisan bread toast with avocado... and half a banana. Coffee, of course! I'll soon be starting a pot of Low-Cal Chicken Barley Soup with Spinach. I want to do that early because of the heat later. Any fabulous things on your agendas today? I'm going to make an Amazon run, so that's always fun. Thought I had another cornea abrasion last night (had one years ago... pain worse than labor pain!) but it's better this morning, so I'm spared having a doctor [literally] in my face. When it was the tear/abrasion, it was an ER doc, but then a couple of years later, I thought it happened again... I was in Orlando and had to hit the ER there.... ugh! But that time it turned out to be a sliver of embedded metal in there. Don't ask, I have NO idea how a flake of metal got into my eye! Anyhow, wake UP, ya'll... time to get the day started. I hear @Joe Riley has coffee.
Mornin'. I'm late, it's 8:30am here in corn and hog land. Actually, I've been up since about 4:30am. Got my laundry done and had my coffee and breakfast. I'm gonna need a nap if I keep up this pace. It's gonna be hot, kinda humid and sunny today. I guess that's ok, if you like hot, sunny days. I used to be a fall/winter person. So, I got all day to do nothing and go nowhere. I better get started.
Mornin'. It's gonna be a hot one today. Clear, sunny and mid 90's for highs. Yesterday we were promised a pleasant sunny Sunday. Our local channel 6 weather girl apologized for only getting it half right. The morning was fine. Early in the afternoon all hell broke loose. Rain, lightning and all. In another week or two my state will be having it's annual bicycle ride across Iowa. They will be starting in Glenwood, on Iowa's west coast, and ending up right here in river city on our east coast, a week later. A whole week of pedaling and camping. I never was much of a camper, just for the sake of camping. When I did camp, I was a minimalist. I didn't want to be bothered with tons of equipment. My dad did it that way. He was a maximalist. My idea of camping was two blankets sewed together into one large one, a two quart canteen, knife, hatchet, small mess kit and fishing gear if I was going fishing for a few days. And, a few food items like salt, instant coffee and a can or two of soup. When my dad went camping, half the household items went with him. Tent, sleeping bag, food, camp stove, gas lantern, extra clothes, It was a never ending list of stuff. It wore me out just loading/unloading all that stuff. It's getting warm in here. I gotta go turn down the thermostat. If you live in the mid west, stay cool.
