Mornin'. I'm off to an early start today. Got up at 3am. No, I ain't going anywhere. Just too wide awake to sleep anymore. We got rain in the forecast for the next couple days. Grandson got old #40 put back together over the weekend. There's 6 more races left. He's #3 in the point standings, whatever that means. Today's the day the Republican convention starts. I'll be tuned into that some of the time. Someone stopped by the other day. I hadn't seen him for a long time. Now I know why. He rambled on about how his life was going, non stop. I was able to say nary a word the whole time.Then he says, "oh, look at the time. I have to go. I'll call you sometime, and we'll do lunch". No we won't. I don't "do" lunch. Well, gotta move on for awhile. We'll DO this again sometime.

Good Morning, Y'all. Happy Monday. I was up in the middle of the night again, but this time I watched a little TV and was able to get back to sleep, at least for a while. This is going to be a really hot week, so I gave the strays ice water, as well as ice. If I can get to where I feel alert enough, i'll run an errand or two, but I don't like to drive when my head feels cottony, the way it does right now. I certainly hope we don't see any more violence, but with the Republican Convention starting, I have a feeling that's a given, in this political climate.
Good Morning All! It is another hot one in Central Virginia. I sound like a broken record there! However, as for now, the humidity is low so it is not terribly uncomfortable. I just was outside with the dog, yes I still have him. His owner is supposed to be picking him up on Wednesday..but this guy is the world's biggest proscratinator. He would rather do anything than what he should be doing..and he has an AC issue, and a pest issue he wants to take care of before the dog comes back. I will call him today...and see if he will promise me he will have everything ready and will pick up the dog on Weds. Since I think I have to be gone all day Thursday anyway.
WAHOO! I woke up again this morning. Ya just never know anymore. watched some of the convention. Liked the sheriff Clark speech. Seems everyone else did too. Got tired of politics, so tuned in to American Picker re-runs. Got tired of that pretty fast too. Found a Nicolas Cage movie I never seen. "The Matchstick Men". Not bad. There's lots of trolls on the news sites picking apart the convention of last night. I poked a few with the needle, so I expect some return comments. Y'all keep smiling. Every time someone smiles, a liberal has a bad day.
I definitely don't pop out of bed. It's more of a really slow roll, with a few back slides. Good Morning, Y'all. The sun's dancing on the curtains this morning, the shadows of the leaves blowing in the breeze make it appear so, and it's one of my favorite things about sitting here. Trash is out, everyone's fed, I've had breakfast, and am settled in with a nice cup of tea. Hope y'all have a nice day.
Lovely cooler morning today in Central VA. I gotta make hay while the sun shines so to speak I guess, because the heat is supposed to come back with a venegance in a couple of days, and when we aren't having heat, we are having storms..how it rolls here in the South I guess. Anyway. I hope everyone is well. I need a second cup of coffee.
