It's a sunny, hot day out there. I did a little yard work with an audience this morning. I'm glad that's finished, at least for now. I still have to do the backyard, but not right now, and perhaps not today at all. Happy first day of August! Never played chess before. Used to play checkers against the computer but it got boring when I started winning most every game. Thought I'd try chess. Trouble is, I don't seem to learn from all my many mistakes.
Ha, I think sometimes we learn the wrong way of doing things when we keep making mistakes. Maybe you could try a tutorial that would walk you through the various strategies, before you learn too many bad habits.
I once beat the computer playing chess. I just copied it's every move, and I think I confused it so much it blew a circuit!

@Ike Willis - That's good to hear Ike, so pleased I had 'another' new pillow last night, not tried this one and it was good ! It won't last long though, so I got a spare this morning There was a pillow mentioned on another thread - will have to look that one up and see if I can get it I know its available in America - but its a long way to go ..............
Good morning to all - hope its a good day for you I put on me hat and coat this morning and when I got to the elevator, I noticed the coat hanger was attached to me coat ! Something strange about this particular coat hanger, it wants to follow me and the coat ! This is the third time I've had to dislodge him from me - he could get a part in Toy Story
Mornin'. Been up since 4:30am. Got sidetracked dealing with some libs on another site. So, looks like another hot, humid day here in the MW.(Mid West). I got word yesterday that another of my old pal's from my teen years died. That's one more down. We sure had some great times back then. Everything ends, I guess. Yet another scandal involving our so fit to be president, Obama. Looks like he paid a huge ransom to Iran for the release of some hostages. I thought the USA didn't pay ransoms. What mental deficiency makes voters keep electing these people? Well, behave yourselves, even if our government can't.
Good Morning everyone. An overcast day here today, but it is supposed to be cool the next couple of days...Will small wonders never cease?? Anyway, that is good. I can do some stuff outside. I have been doing errands the past few days so I think I am going to hang here today and do some badly needed cleaning and clearing of items. However, my extra room "office if you will" is now looking pretty empty, and that is good. Who accumulated all these books??? It couldn't have been me!
