Very bad night for me, just how it used to be having to get up and too often 'stay up'
Thought I had found the answer with me new routine - one cherry tablet - one small cup of malted milk, then a cup of cold milk
before bed. This routine has been a great help, but failed me.
Either I have got used to this routine or its going to be an occasional thing, which would be better than 'every' night being
disturbed. Will have to see - lets hope its the latter.
Its a shame as it doesn't help with the day ahead - I'll do a thread on funny things that have happened to us, hope you can think of
something that has happened to you :)
Oh, and I wish you all a great day !
    Xx

Good Morning. Got a busy day ahead, doing some renovations at the building I work at.
Assisting the contractors, which is always a 'fun' time. Heading to the 90's again today.

    Fridays are weird for me. Been off since Monday, so Fridays feel like a 'Monday Morning' ;
but I have Sat/Sun off, so it's like a 'Friday' too. Make sense?
Stay safe and have a good one...

Mornin'. Woke up at 2am to a thunderstorm. It's still raining. Checked out TV and saw nothing was on, so I fell back asleep. At 5am, I got up for the day.
So, here I is, now what?:confused::confused::confused:

Good morning everyone! 101 today and it's only going to get hotter by a degree or two the following days.

I only have about 2 weeks left at home and I'm on the road and in the air again. First to my daughter's for a few days to meet up with my sister and BIL from Colorado, then I'll come home for a few days to take care of things and the back in 5 days to watch oldest grandsons while their parents go to a dental society thing and from there I fly to Illinois on Sept. 11 til oct 8. Will probably spend a few days at daughters then head home around oct. 11.

@Patsy Faye, what's a cherry tablet? Is this a stomach issue that keeps you up??

I have to start getting my ducks in a row and do everything that I do when I'm away so long from home.

    Starts with making lists...

I remember when we Monday was the day I looked forward to relaxing from the hectic weekend of water skying, fishing, hunting, camping, or whatever we could think of. Although I work through the week, it was never as exhausting as keeping up with kids.

You remember our generation didn't just hand over money and tell the kids to entertain themselves so we parents got 'rest' for a couple of days. We were busy 24/7, and Friday's were our gearing up day for the weekend.

Now those days are just memories.

I was wondering the same thing @Chrissy Page. Maybe I need to get some cherry tablets...or cheery tablets ;). That sounds like a lot of traveling and running around. Do you enjoy that? I used to like that when I was younger, but these days, I like life a bit more sedate, although not quite as blah as it's been lately.

The cardinals are back, at least the females. I haven't seen a male in a while, but I have seen them at the same time as the black butterflies, which i believe to be departed loved ones visiting.

Good Morning, Y'all, happy Friday. It was a fitful night. The neighbors' dogs started barking and making a fuss around 3 a.m. I got up and looked, didn't see anything. I turned on the back/side lights and an SUV drove by, but I don't know if that was another resident checking things out, or perhaps some potential burglars/prowlers that got scared off. I've been awake pretty much since then, although I did doze off for a few minutes and had a weird dream. I have to run a few errands in a bit, then hopefully can catch a nap later. Hope y'all have a good'un.

@Chrissy Page - Hi there Chrissy, Cherry tablets are very good to relax you and help you sleep
I take just the one tablet around 8.30 pm and unlike before - I get to sleep much sooner, they are also to help
those with gout and as that is a foot related problem, thought it may help and it does take the edge off enough to get to sleep
I guess I will still have an off night, but if its just occasional that's better than each night - right ? :)
You could eat some cherries before bed, I don't like them and you would need a good handful - right ? :)
No - I'll stick to me tablet :D

@Patsy Faye Is there medicine in the tablets as well, or are they made from cherry extract? I've heard of blueberry capsules and other natural types of things, but if there's a cherry tablet that helps with arthritis or other pain disorders, I'd like to learn more.

Thanks for the info, @Patsy Faye, if it's just cherries then I doubt it would work for me, takes more than that to knock me out. :)

@Diane Lane , I used to travel more...this is cutting back for me. I just hate the travel part, wether by car or plane.

Not because I'm afraid to fly but because of all the hassle and stress involved.

Quiet Saturday morning. Up as usual, internal alarm goes off like clockwork.
Going over our finances to see how things are going.

Feel a little like Bob Cratchit in 'A Christmas Carol',
minus the high desk and the little candle to warm my hands.

Enough numbers; heading out to the patio to greet the morning proper.
