Good morning to all! Another day of rain and cool temperatures which I love. I know it is still August but I am hoping for an early fall. (I am ready to say good bye to triple digit temps). May every one have a pleasant Thursday.

Good mornin' y'all, It was finally dry enough to mow yesterday. I mowed for over 4 hours, got most of it done. I hope the rain holds off so I can finish today.

Mornin'. Another late start. Got up at 5am. Glad I don't have nothing to do. I'd never get it done.
Don't know what I'll have for breakfast. I so want some donuts. Doc says no.
Looks like we're in for a wet Friday and Saturday.
Son got told he has to work O T next 6 weeks. Happy to hear business is good.
I worked a few years in a factory that required us warehouse workers to work every Saturday morning, except one. Most all of us were hunters, so, since opening day of pheasant season was always on a Saturday, that day we were excused. I should have stayed there. All I did was drive a lift truck around a big warehouse all day.
When people would ask me where I worked, I would tell them the name of the company. When they asked what I did there, I would say I was a company pilot. They were impressed, until they found out all I did was drive a lift truck and 'pile-lot' of stuff here and there.
Another time I worked in a plant that made dry ice. I ran the big ice presses. I would tell people I was a "refrigeration technician". It sounded better than saying I was the guy who sloshed around in puddles of oil and water, opening and closing ice presses.
    Ah, the good old days.
Be careful out there. Don't wind up one of these people.

Good Morning Everybody...When I went to use the rider yesterday, I found the battery dead again. This new battery is not worth a darn! Anyway, roomie put it on his triple charger, so hopefully it will be ready to rock and roll today. I hope so, because the grass looks awful.! I want to get it cut today so I can go off on my getaway with a clear conscience! Have a good one...

Good morning everyone! 105 today, chance of rain 0 until winter. :(

I can't wait because my water bill is getting outrageous and my grass is still half brown. Only allowed to water 2 days a week instead of 3.

My bill was never this high even when it was 3 days a week, they must have really raised rates to discourage cheaters.

I'm glad I travel a lot, I couldn't afford my utilities if I lived here all year! True that my water will be the same until
November when we can only water once a week, but if we get rain I just shut my sprinkler off completely.

Wishing Mrs. Tim Burr a Happy Birthday!

I guess nobody told @Tim Burr that when it's a SO's birthday they have to make enough of whatever they're making to share on here. It's ok, you didn't know but next year I expect a muffin. :)

Good Morning, y'all. Let's see, I've been up for about 7 1/2 hours, so I figured it was time to come say g'morning, and sit down with a proper cup of tea. It was a golden sunrise through the trees, with pinkish gray clouds to the south. The sun's out full right now, but it's still plenty overcast, and we'll be getting rain later. I forgot to take it easy yesterday, although the things I accomplished weren't on my To Do list, so that's still full. If the rain holds off long enough, I might treat the weeds, but my body's not moving anywhere any time soon. Oops, and in the 30 seconds it took to type that and give Shannon some loving, it's started darkening up outside. Hope everyone's having a good day.

Mornin'. Gonna be another warm day here in rivertown. Not as bad as yesterday, but anything above 70 is too warm.
Well, we made it to another Friday. Maybe my grandson can get in another race. The last couple were rainouts.
As usual, I have no weekend plans. And at my age, I don't like surprises. Except the lottery. Winning the lottery would be a nice surprise.
I've been gradually making my coffee stronger. Pretty soon I'll have syrup.
So, I better check Facebook to see what the rest of my mob has been doing.
    Stay safe. :)

Well its supposed to be cooler here, I just don't feel it
Anyway, the little people I had on me wall to tell me the weather - reminded me of our cuckoo clock
He could only 'cuck' - there was no 'coo' to folla. It was funny until it got to twelve O'clock and then a series
of 'cucks cucks cucks' You can only take so many cucks - they spoil the broth ya know :p
Anyway - I wish you all a loverly day ahead - keep

Good morning Y'all! The grass & I have a good relationship.....its OK if "Ve Vant to be Alone"....and we don't always have to maintain "Lawn & Order"! But , today, we have an appointment. It takes two hours for John Deere & me to mow it all. Since I had the dirt cleaned out of the carburetor and am using E-free gas, we now mow it in less time. :)

Good morning my friends. I do miss getting up Friday mornings, and having that joyous feeling of knowing I had two days away from the grind of working all week. Now I have to look at my calendar just to remember what day it is.

Today, I will be spending in my wheelchair. I was out doing a lot of walking this week. Since it's been raining the temperature has beem cooler, and I had several things that I needed to get done, but I guess my hips decided enough is enough. But I got quiet a bit done.

I've finally stopped thinking and wondering what I was going to do, and made up my mind about selling my old home. I've decided to move to Dayton, Tx. I'm not telling my extended family until everything is a done deal. Last year when I told them I was putting my home on the market, they got all upset. They didn't want to loose the place that held their childhood memories. But, not one of them has come to visit me, and I've gotten maybe two phone calls from them since.

I can't live just in my memories. I need a new start so I can build a new life that I can look forward to. This week I started looking at trailer homes. I visited a different distributor each day this week. At first, it was only an idea, but the new trailer homes of today are quite amazing. Nothing like what I remembered from my youth.

I found a distributor that will let me do some of the designing, like wider hallways for my wheelchair, and replacing some of the interior doors with sliding doors so I won't have to struggle opening and closing them. I've decided to set the trailer up with two master bedrooms and two full master bathrooms. One at each end of the trailer. I'm having the third bedroom eliminated so the livingroom area is nice and large.

My 26 year old grandson has agreed to share my new home, so that will make a big difference in what I can do in my future. I won't have to go live in senior community. I can rebuild my garden wonderland. I can keep my pup, and maybe even get a half dozen chickens.

At least when I woke this morning, my first thoughts were of organizing the needed steps to get things going, instead of wondering why I had to go on.

It's a great step forward for me.
