You would think that by now the weather forecast would be accurate
Yet again, wrong. Supposed to 'stay' cool today, but soon heated up around 11.30
Ah well it will come one day ....................Brrr :p

On a side sports note, my other 'football' team is doing pretty good in their league:
Colchester United FC is in third!

I am looking at our radar, and it looks like most of the storms are bypassing Huntsville and hitting around Nashville, where you are close to, @Tim Burr . (By the way, I love the avatar ! ! )
That seems to happen a lot here, especially next to the Redstone Arsenal, where we live. I always kid that the post has an "invisible dome" over top of it to protect the arsenal from storms and tornadoes.
Even so, it is cloudy, and scattered t-storms are in the forecast here, too. It is cool enough that we still have the doors and windows open to let in the fresh breeze that is blowing the flag on the front porch.

I made cabbage, tomatoes, and a dab of Bobby's ham stirfried with a couple eggs for breakfast, and the dogs helped me eat it, as I knew they would. Eggs and veggies are good for them, and of course, they loved the bites of ham, too.
No sunbathing for us today; but if it doesn't storm, we will probably still go out and play in the swimming pool. Since we got the bubblewrap pool blanket, the pool stays nice and warm, and this is the latest in the year that we have ever been able to swim in the backyard pool.

Mornin'. Looks to be another clear, pleasant sunny Sunday day today. Enjoy it if your weather is the same.
So, there I was, standing at the bar in the Long Branch, chatting with Kitty, Matt, Chester and doc. Kitty bought us all a round of cheap whisky.
The saloon was unusually full on this afternoon. A couple old retired buffalo hunters and ranchers were sitting at a table near the door. A new gambler in town, known only as DT, had a card game going at the back of the room. An assortment of cowboys and townspeople lined the bar.The mood was pleasant.
An upstairs door slammed and an older woman wobbled over to the stairs and started to descend. Chester was the first of our group to notice. "Well, lookey there".
We all turned to look. An older lady was slowly making her way down the stairs. She was wearing a pair of red tights, looking to be very tight as they strained to cover her fat legs. Her top was something Kitty cobbled together for her that left her shoulders bare.
"Who the hell's that"? I asked Kitty.
"That's HRC. She got off the train this morning, to get something to eat. The train left without her. So, she is stranded here with no money and the next train is not due for a few days". Kitty answered.
"So, you gave her a room, board and a job until then". Said an amused Matt.
"Well, I couldn't let her starve on the street", Kitty shot back, somewhat perturbed.
About half way down the stairs, HRC made a misstep, did a header down the remaining steps, and rolling out onto the barroom floor.
Two old buffalo hunters rushed to her aid, helping her to her feet. Unhurt, HRC pushed and slapped them away, calling them dirty, deplorable old men, then made her way over to the piano player. She ordered him to play a song, then started to sing.
HRC only got through about two lines of the song, sung in the most gratingly raspy voice , then the howls from the other bar patrons drowned her out.
"Look, some must like her. They're throwing silver dollars, Mr. Dillon". Remarked Chester.
"Yeah, but they're throwing them like bullets, as hard as they can. You better stop this Matt". Doc suggested.
About that time I got hit smack in the face with..............The TV remote that got knocked off the head of the bed where I left it last night.
And, that's how my night was. How was yours?

Good Morning, Y'all. It's overcast, and I believe there's rain in the forecast. There were parties all around me last night, so I didn't get much sleep, as usual. Heart some loud arguing around 1:30 a.m., but not as severe as last time, so I went back to sleep. No sirens this morning, so I guess all is well. People are probably sleeping it off. I've been going through things here, to sell, and also resting. I really dislike these flares, and hope this one ends soon. I'll take it easy today, other than cooking chicken and talking to mom. Hope y'all are enjoying your day.

Mornin'. Yet another cool morning, looking to be a dry, pleasant day here in the land of bacon. I got the latest bomb news on TV going on. Every bomb blast should move more people to want to vote for Trump.
However, we have to take into consideration the younger "adults". The college age set. I watch some of the "Watters World" interviews on TV and on Facebook. All I can say is, God, please let them all turn out to be fake.
How can someone make it into a college and know so little about what's happening in the world? When I went to school, back before we became so "enlightened", we were taught about government and how it was supposed to work. About history, as far back as people. About biology and science, enough that we knew there were no such creatures as rhinopotamus's.
If I had kids thinking about or in college, I'd be very interested in who their teachers were.
Back in my brathood days, we had PTA (Parent Teachers Assoc.) meetings on designated evenings. There, your parents met with the teachers. I hated those meetings. My parents always found out stuff I didn't want them to know. But, the parents got a chance to question teachers on matters involving their little snots as well.
Once, in the beginning of my first grade year, a teacher slapped my face for no reason. This was a Catholic school, teacher was a nun. I was terrified of nuns. She asked me a question. I had no idea of the answer, so I said nothing. She kept asking, I kept silent, even when she started shaking me. Finally, she slapped me across the chops and told me to sit down.
Well. when the next PRA meeting rolled around, my parents were there. I don't know what dad said to my teacher, but she ignored me the rest of the year.
Well, I gotta get another mug of this coffee. I said to myself just yesterday, "Self, you got this coffee thing down pretty good. It's tasting better and better".
Be careful out there. Stay away from anything that looks like it might go KA_BOOM!
