Great mornin' to you all. It's 5am here in corn land, 60 degrees and a chance of rain most all day. Do I care though? Hell no. Don't have anything that needs doin', don't have anywhere to go.
One of my grandsons broke his hand playing high school football last night. He sees a doc this mornin'. I hope it heals ok. So, that's about all I got. Just thought I'd get an early start on my day today. The sooner I start, the sooner i'm done, doin' nothin'.:D

Happy Morning! Geezz, Cloudy and gloomy again, will this never end? State Fair Day, I have been looking forward to to that, and it is supposed to clear up a bit today. I have an apartment shop I may try to get done as well today, but I have to try to get the right person, always a trying task. I may be selling something as well. So, anyway, lots of tasks, not enough time. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Good Afternoon, Y'all. It's one of those days when my tail end is dragging on the ground. Not that I'm depressed, just that I'm so freaking tired again. It doesn't take much to throw off my schedule, and I lost power yesterday evening for several hours. That being said, it's Saturday, and I'm debating on whether I should pick up some much needed groceries or take a really really really long nap. Or, maybe run to the store, then take a really really long nap. I haven't accomplished much so far today, other than a lot of tweeting, most of which was me pimping my shops. Hopefully that will result in a sale or two.

@Chrissy Page We have two trash pick up days here, thankfully. I need to remember to order a trash can...apparently they can take up to a year to be delivered, but I'm just happy they no longer charge, and are now willing to deliver them. @K E Gordon Good luck on the sale. I saw someone I've been following for a few years on Twitter say she's closing her shop. Her husband died the other day and she's struggling with no sales, so is giving up. Others I know are also talking about closing shops. I'm hoping for a little holiday boom, but who knows.

@Ike Willis I hope your grandson's hand's not as bad as they thought...I don't know much about sports, so I don't know if that's a common injury, or if it heals quickly. I sure hope so.

We only have one day a week when we put all 3 cans out.

Sometimes I don't even put all of them out because don't have that much garbage....it makes me angry that I have to pay even when I'm gone for a month...think the basic is around $80 for garbage, sewer and water a month.

I don't use any of them when I'm gone. When I first moved here it was a set price for water but now it's metered so that $80 a month can go as high as $110-120 in the summer when I have my sprinklers on twice a week.

In the winter we can on,y water once a week but I turn it off completely. We do get some rain in the winter months.

My garbage cans are at least 13 years old but still on good shape. They're pretty big with wheels and a handle.

I also don't know if I'd be charged if I needed new ones...

Mornin'. Another cool, overcast day. I did all my chores yesterday. made out all my bill checks, so this month's money is about all spent already.
My grandson says his hand hurts like hell. I guess he'll be on the bench awhile. I don't know how much of the season is left.
Not much going on this weekend. If I can't get a fight started with some of the local liberals, it'll be a lost weekend.
Take care out there. Careful what you do, careful what you say. There's a liberal near you just waiting for an excuse to be offended.:D

My grandson, Tayler and my daughter.

Good morning everyone! It's either Sunday or Monday today....right? I can see all the church goers shaking their heads, lol. I did think it was Monday when my eyes popped open.

Anyway what ever day it is it's going to be cooler, only reaching 74!!!! I may do some actual cooking today, don't know what but I bought a lot of goodies at Trader Joe's yesterday including bacon jam, lol.

I bought a lot of pumpkins things too, it's that time of year and everything was pumpkin at TJ's. They even had pumpkin salsa but was afraid to try that one.

Where is @Ina I. Wonder , hope she's over the pneumonia.

Thank you, @Patsy Faye and my Sunday has just been ruined. A smoke alarm just started beeping that I need a new battery.

Now I have to stand and listen to figure out which one it is because they're so darn close together...no reason why they should be.
I'm willing to bet it's one of the ones I need the real tall ladder for and I'm also willing to bet I'm out of batteries.

Now I'll have to shower and dress and go to Walgreens because they're the closest and buy batteries...grrrrr

    There goes my pleasant Sunday!!

Good Morning Everybody! OK so it was supposed to be close to 80 degrees and sunny today...uhh not so far. The cloud cover might be lighter,,,but it is far from sunny. It is about 70 degrees. Anyway, last night we were going to go to the State Fair and they ran out of parking...??? so we went to see the movie Sully instead, and had dinner at Dennys. We walked around a mall North of Richmond...and it was dead...! A shadow of it's former self, but maybe some people were at the fair. Football today! Enjoy your Sunday...FYI @Chrissy Page, I have had that with smoke detectors and then no beeping again for weeks!

Good Afternoon, Y'all. @Chrissy Page I always end up yanking the batteries out of one of the numerous remotes I have lying around this place. 4 downstairs, 4 here in the office, 3 or so in the bedroom, etc. Some take AA, some AAA...there's always a battery somewhere, to save me from having to run to the store. Light bulbs are my downfall. I'm always chasing them, and forgot to pick some up yesterday. I just put my last one in the bedroom, and no doubt the one out front will blow again soon. Bacon jam sounds yummy. I'd probably try a free sample of pumpkin salsa, but wouldn't pay for it until I'd tried it.

It was a long sleepless night. Another jerk in the neighborhood left his/her dog out to race through the neighborhood for hours, howling. Someone posted about it on the Facebook group, but was denigrated. They don't like their homeboys being called out for turning the dogs loose while they're having booty calls. It's sort of like living at Animal House sometimes in this neighborhood. I caught a bit of a nap earlier, but even the cats are wiped out. I'm thankful that I ran to Kroger yesterday, and can rest today. It's a pretty, sunny day, and isn't too hot. I'd open the windows later, if not for the barking dogs spoiling the serenity of the night air and cool breeze. Sounds as if everyone's doing o.k., hope it continues that way.
