Mornin'. Happy wenzday to all. My favorite day. It's the day two cute ladies bring my grub. Speaking of grub, yesterday I popped the top on a can of chicken noodle soup. It not only smelled bad, but the noodle's were brown, (gag). I lost my appetite for lunch.
Once, I ordered 6 cans of chicken noodle soup. They brought me two cans of Campbell's soup, two of the store brand and two of the cheapest. The Campbell's had mostly noodles and chicken bits, the store brand was about half noodles and half broth, and the cheapest was all broth with about 6 noodles floating around, doing the backstroke. I guess the moral is, if you can, pay a little more to get a little more.
My dad would always hold a bottle of soda up to the light and examine it before he opened it. Once, he popped the top on a bottle, chugged down about half, and felt something solid in his mouth. It was a dead cricket that was in the bottle of soda.
Well, I see my coffee mug is MT again. Gotta go fix that. Be back in a flash.:D

Ike, that reminds me of the time we were working overtime in the city, one winter, and when we went into a hot dog place for dinner, one guy, Pete, ordered chicken noodle soup. After eating some, he asked the lady, in a raised voice "Ma'am! Ma'am...was this an Olympic chicken"? She asked what he meant. He said "You know....the chicken that ran through this soup"!:D

Good Morning, Y'all, thanks for making me laugh. It's overcast and the cooler weather's blowing in. I could hear the thing up on the roof (turbine, I guess), chugging and squealing during the night, so I knew there was a bit of wind out there.

@Ina I. Wonder Check out my thread about a free Roku, it's about Sling Tv. I'll go into more details over there, I saw @Yvonne Smith had a question about it. I watched it last night for the first time, so have more information now.

Hope everyone's doing o.k. I'm playing beat the clock with this library e-book, but I don't think I'm going to win. Hopefully I can check it back out after it expires, since there doesn't seem to be a way to extend the loan. That seems odd in 2016, but I didn't make the rules.

    Have a great day, all!

Good morning all you good people. Yesterday was in the 80's, today it is 59 at 7:am. I'm like @Ike Willis when it come to weather, I like the cooler temperatures.

@Terry Page, you always confuse me when you tell us the temperatures. I've never understood how to convert to fahenheit from celsius. Is there an easy formula to remember how to convert them?

@Diane Lane as soon as I can find the post your speaking of, I'll most diffidently check it out. I don't remember hearing of Sling TV. I truly am a tech zombie.

@Ike Willis, do you have a grocery delivery service, or do you have a couple of family members that shop for you? I can get that here, but it can be costly.

My store delivers our orders on Wednesdays for a flat fee of $5. They do a pretty good job of shopping for us, saving us money wherever they can. If we don't specify a certain brand item, they pick the cheapest of the choices.

@Ina I. Wonder , both Sam's Club and Kroger, and maybe even the Walmart Neighborhood Markets have a shopping service that doesn't cost extra, and it might work for you.
My daughter uses this to order from Sam's when she is so busy at work and has to make every minute count. How it works is that you order online and the store gets the order ready for you. You then drive to the store and pick the order up.
While you would still have to drive to the store and home again, you would not have to spend an hour walking back and forth through the store picking out groceries if you don't feel up to the walking.
I have never tried shopping this way, so I don't have the particulars; but I have seen it advertised, and also seen the loaded shopping carts with someone's name on it waiting to be picked up when I was there going shopping myself.

We are having a wet, rainy day, and then the temps are supposed to drop down around freezing again tonight. Yesterday, it was in the 70's, and then the clash with the cold front last night that brought the tornadoes into the area. We were fine here in Huntsville, but some of the other areas of the state did have tornadoes, apparently.
Today is gym day, so after I finish my coffee, we will be headed for the fitness center . These cold days, I really appreciate that hot tub !

Good morning Terry, I'm late as usual, but wanted to tell you that I love your pics, and your avatar:) I can't remember where you are exactly, but you definitely live in the "big" city. That bus looks so neat;) I really like riding the bus in the city, also got to ride the Max in Portland Oregon while I was going to school back in the early 80s;) Have a great day, Denise
