Omg, really, I am so glad you weren't hurt, I am picturing it, along with the mortified look on the drivers face! Nothing exciting ever happens to me, lol
Good Mornin Tim, If you want, take some snaps of your decorations Tim. Both Joe and I have threads on Christmas Decor, and would love to see everyones Here's both the links: http://seniorsonly.club/threads/joes-christmas.5751/ http://seniorsonly.club/threads/a-christmas-decoration-thread.5798/
I felt as though I was on the food belt at the check out in the supermarket @Denise Happyfeet. I sure now know how those poor groceries feel.
Good morning humanoids!! Sorry to hear that Patsy I had a pain in the back yesterday a.m. but I have some awesome stuff called MaxFreeze that is like a "hot/cold" ointment. It lasts a long time, and seemed to take care of the achy. I couldn't reach where it hurt so I put some on a wash cloth and used it like I would with a towel drying my back?? Well, that's a good way to rub freezy hot stuff on your back, but "never" forget and use the same cloth in the shower, oochee ouchie Took a long time to rinse it off I guess things do happen to me, but that wasn't as cool as getting caught in a bus door
Had this in the wrong post Sheldon, glad to hear your doc visit went good Great about the progress on the knee, you must be sticking to the doc's orders, hard for some to do I know. The minute we feel better we want to jump back into normal, but our bodies are saying "I'm still on my break" It's colder here today, but clear, no rain now for 3 days. Been nice for some walks, and just getting outdoors. Have to bundle up a bit though I love the seasons
Your stories are so fun to read Ike, I have memories that are similar to many of yours. My grandparents lived in an orchard, mostly fruit-trees, but also there was at least one black walnut. I love them too. I remember everytime we'd go to their place, the nut dish was full, and yes, we did get to help them pick them up as well
Oh I'd like to find me a feller like that Yvonne I like to doctor my coffee too, but not into any flavors except a little, dark chocolate, and of course my creamer. I use stevia to sweeten My sis drinks her's black and she get aggravated that I don't get back to our chat online fast enough. She has her coffee in 15 seconds, just pours it, and I have to perform surgery on mine, LOL! It's pretty here today, and I hope to get out for another walk. Even a short one does me so much good. Didn't we get an Arctic Blast last Winter?? Seems I've heard that term in recent years at least. The coast stays pretty moderate, I really do love that, getting used to it, spoiled I think We have had a lot of rain, but then poof, there comes the Sun, and we are out and taking walks, whatever people like to do outside here. No extreme weather, or snow. I'll miss a little snow, but the mountains are lovely with it
Mornin'. Well, here it is, December 2, and STILL no snow here. It's gonna be tough sledding here if that keeps up. It's overcast and 37 degrees. Only supposed to hit 40, so we're almost there. Colder temps on the way. I just checked out Facebook and saw a post about how terrible it is for our health to cook with aluminum foil. It was only recently that I discovered how aluminum cookware is supposed to kill us. When I got married, my wife brought a huge aluminum cook pot with her. For 18 years we ate many a pot of chili and all kinds of soup out of that pot. She still has it. If we were to believe all those warnings and abide by them, we'd all be out there trying to live on nuts, berries and twigs. I got up at 3am for some crazy reason. Had to pee, then decided a mug of coffee sounded good, then decided to get dressed, now decided to get another mug of coffee and fry up some eggs and hash browns. Have a great Friday Y'all. Try to avoid liberals. They'll just try to bring you down to the level of depression they're in since Trump won.
Good morning it's another cool day around freezing point with a bit more snow, have a great Friday.
@Ike Willis - next year they will say aluminium does no harm at all - they change their minds on things yearly well they have to keep busy don't they Everyone xx
Good Morning All. It's 51 degrees here in Louisiana and in about an hour my daughter will be dropping off my grandbaby to me while she goes back to the Hospital to spend a big part of the day with her dad. Yesterday he had heart value surgery, the surgery went well and we are hoping for a quick recovery but from what I understand he will be in the hospital for 5-7 days at least. So my two daughters, one who is a Registered Nurse and the other a Respiratory Therapist will be taking their shifts with him while a few of us help with the grandchildren. I always get the babies...because babies are my speciality. And the others who are helping like the bigger ones who can walk and talk. If anyone wants to send up a prayer or positive thoughts for my ex's healing and recovery...it would be appreciated. I had my cup of flavored coffee early this morning and about an hour later I made myself a smoothie with cranberry juice, plain yogurt, half a banana, strawberries, blueberries, and some Great Grains banana walnut cereal. My daughter bought me a generic Ninja juicer and smoothie maker and I am enjoying those smoothies. Next I will try some veggies smoothies and try to get my Honey to drink some of those for his Macular Degeneration. It's going to be a busy day and a busy week for me. But I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Good Morning and a blessed day.
