    Good morning!!
Sunny and cold. 34 degrees. Did I say it was COLD? It's cold.

Okay, the aluminum thing. Cook away in your pots and use whatever aluminum you wish, however you wish, EXCEPT aluminum foil.
Using the foil is no problem unless you are making say, a casserole with anything that might react with the foil such as tomato. When you cover your food with aluminum foil and the foil is in contact with the food during the baking or cooking process the tomato will react with the foil.
Have you ever pulled the foil off of your food and found tiny holes in the foil and black stuff on your food? The stuff on the food is bad news and can lead to parkinson's and a couple of other diseases not to mention the fact that it provides an off taste which doesn't compliment your culinary creation in any way.

Now, if you still want to cover your food with foil before baking, stretch a piece of plastic wrap on the food first then apply the foil and bake away. No, the Saran Wrap or whatever will not melt and your meal will be absolutely safe to eat.
Okay, there "might" be some melting but only on the outside edges of the pan.
Hope that makes somebody a better day!

    Blessings..............

Good Morning, Y'all. Happy Friday. I got some sky pics this morning. I'll try to cut a few down to size and post after a bit. @Ina I. Wonder I'll try to remember to tag you in the thread, or you could just search on Sling.

The neighbor's been up clanging something in the garage...does that a lot. I think it's weights. Finally figured that out last night. I was out taking pictures and saw smoke. I thought maybe he had some sort of enclosed (safe) smoker. No, he's got a fire pot going in the driveway, and left the house. While he was gone, one of the dogs knocked the screen out of the open front window and was hanging out barking and growling his head off at the cats. I went out & called to get his (neighbor, not dog) attention, but nothing. Then I saw the fire pot going. I swear, there were sheets strewn across the backyard, so I thought maybe he'd axed the girlfriend and was going to burn the sheets, but a few minutes later, they came strolling down the street with 2 of the other dogs on leashes. Apparently they'd been off walking the kids to the school bus. She was in bathrobe with hair still up...I won't worry about running out to take out the trash in my robe anymore :p. So, with a cold front coming through, lots of wind, he had a freaking fire pot going right by the trees, with a dog potentially able to get loose and knock it over. Yes, I have a fear of fires, but that is reckless behavior. At least they're back now, and hopefully will put the screen back and secure it this time, and keep an eye on the fire pot.

I had a strange cat in my yard this morning. It's been a while since that's happened. It didn't even come down to eat when I fed the others. I think something scared it, because it was up on the big carport in the yard. Its nose looks skinned, as if it got in a rough fight (not recently, it looked healed, at least from a distance.) There's always a little extra food, so hopefully it will get some at some point. It was gone last time I looked.

That was my exciting day, at least so far. The day is young. I had a bunch of things I was going to say in reply to others' posts. Oh, @Denise Happyfeet I just made an acorn squash with butter and brown sugar for Thanksgiving, it was delicious. Hope everyone has a good day!

Oh, regarding grocery delivery, Walmart does the selecting of goods ordered, but it's curbside pick up, and Kroger is the same. I wish I could get grocery delivery, that would really help with my vehicle not being in the best shape, but it's not available here.

Ha ha, no kidding @Patsy Faye. I moved here specifically because it was a peaceful, quiet section of the neighborhood. It took a while, but that sure changed. Thankfully, nothing caught on fire. It looks as if he's either replaced the screen on the window or just picked it up. Deep breaths, this too shall pass ;). Hope you're doing o.k. and having a decent day. These's some sort of weird noise in the 'hood right now, off in the distance. I'm going to turn on some music or the TV to drown it out, so I can try to relax. xo

It's a great morning....my little one is fast asleep in his swing. :) Yesterday, he wanted nothing to do with the swing, only his Granny to rock him so of course that is what his Granny did. I'm the kind of Granny that doesn't believe a baby can be spoiled so I love them and hold them all I want too. :) Life is good and I'm really going to enjoy this little one as he may be the last little one coming into our Family.

Good Morning You'alls!! I say nothing exciting ever happens to me, but maybe there is something coming up. I signed up on a waiting-list to adopt-a-pet. I've been looking for awhile. Thing is, I have had a couple of chances, but didn't go for it because I get panicked about little things, or stressed easy. I never used to be that way, things were so easy when I was younger. I feel like I was a super-woman compared to now. I think that sometimes things affect us more than we realize. I know some of you will know what I mean. Many of us are taught to be tough, no matter what, but sometimes there is a sort of breaking point, at least with me there has been.

So I wanted to get a pup again because I am alone. I loved my dog so much and she died at age 15, in 2005. So I didn't want another for a long time. Now I'm very settled and can give a baby a good home. But this anxiety, and panic stuff makes me hesitate. I talked to a good friend yesterday, and she has a little one. I was so surprised to find out her tiny dog is a real service dog, trained and everything. I think I should go for it. I'm calling today to see the possibilities because the gal told me they give free training to anyone who wants it. Then I would have a pup again as my companion. I walk a lot, and am very outdoorsy so he/she would have a good life with me.

So I have a snapshot of the little guy I fell in love with (his pic) but even if someone else is ahead of me, and wants him, they have other (plenty more babies to adopt) so I won't get too excited over him, and will just trust God with this.

Anyway, his name is Bear and he is only 3 months old right now. I filled out the application online, and they called me within an hour of me sending it in. They gave me a sort of phone interview. I'll find out next week if I will be offered Bear. They just rescued him yesterday, or maybe people brought him in, I don't know his whole story yet. So he needs his shots and a few other things they take care of so that's why I have to wait to see:

@Denise Happyfeet The dogs I have had and loved in the past seemed to sense my emotions and brought love and comfort, etc. to my life. I've always thought they were so humanlike. If that cute little fellow above is meant to be yours and you get him....then y'all will be perfect for each other. :)

I just had about an hour long visit with a trainer, and she is just a sweetheart. She recommended a couple of books, and I can train with her if I want to. I think I can probably do one training session, maybe two, and then handle things on my own. I can read a book and follow the instructions. I don't think I'll need an actual "service" dog training, because I'm not disabled. So just to have a dog that has basic training will be a good companion, although I know that I need to be trained as well;) Now I am getting excited.

Thanks so much Babs because I know you are right about if he is meant to be with me. Otherwise, God will have another dog for me, or maybe not. I bet He does have one for me though;)

I did find out that I am only up against maybe one other person because the application I sent in was "for" Bear!! And he only got there yesterday, so anyone signing up for him is all I am up against. I thought I would be up against everyone that had signed up for any dog, but they have people put in for the dog they want, and the earliest request get's first choice, and so on!!
