A very good morning to you all I have woke up to a light dusting of snow, not even covering the ground, it's 8:00 am and I feel drowsier than usual having taken a herbal sleeping pill last night, which still didn't get me past the 3:00 am point, so had to take a sliver of zopiclone to get back to sleep. The zopiclone clears quickly, but the herbal effect lingers through the next morning. I will eventually wake up after many cups of coffee. I drew several hundred pounds out of an ATM last night to take to India but it came out all in low denomination notes, so I need to go into the bank to change them into higher ones this morning, so they are easier to carry and change. Have a great Friday and I hope the snow if you have any, doesn't cause you any problems..... An Indian Sunrise...
Good morning Terry - another bad night for me too Surely I'll be able to sleep standing up as the day wears on ..............
The Heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Psalm 19:1 (NKJV) Good Morning. @Terry Page and @Patsy Faye I guess we are just a bunch of sleepyheads this morning because I join y'all in not sleeping well last night. My reason is because I see the Heart Specialist later this morning and I'm having some anxiety about this which will pass as soon as I know what is going on with me. Yesterday I helped my middle daughter unpack some things so that they can finally move back in their home that flooded in the August rains. The renovations inside her home are really nice and they are going to feel like they are moving into a brand new home in many ways. This afternoon I hope to be able to go help her some more and tonight even though everything will not be moved back in, they will "camp out" and sleep in their home for the first time since August. My heart is rejoicing with them! Life doesn't always go the way we want it too...but life is good just the same. And there is always much to be thankful for always. May your day be blessed with lots of those moments to give thanks for.
Good Morning, Y'all. It's definitely a sleepy day here. I decided to go back to bed to make up for lost sleep lately. It's drizzly and foggy outside today, but I braved it to put out the trash . I hope everyone's been doing well, or at least o.k. I'm glad it's Friday. I'm a little more forgiving on myself on the weekends, so the days just flow better, no matter how I'm feeling. Ooh, the sun's trying to break through the clouds, it looks beautiful! Have a great day, everyone! That sounds like an interesting trip, @Terry Page. I hope you share your pictures with us!
Yeah, we had some sunshine yesterday. Wednsday night I remarked that I would love to see some sun on Thursday to compliment the upcoming 68 degree temperature. Sure enough, the sun came out around 9 a.m. yesterday and I yelled for my to look at an answered verbal prayer. Yup, that sun sure looked good for approx. 15 seconds and then hid behind the clouds for the rest of the day. The thing is that I have to take all of the fault for that because I know that when one prays for something, one has to be specific. When I asked for the sun to come out, I didn't ask for any particular time frame so I feel good about the 15 seconds because it could have been 10. All that said, it's gonna be around 70 today but rain, rain, and still more rain I fear. Oh well, nothing I can do about it except to accept it and figure out something to do either in the rain or someplace dryer. What could be easier than that? A 50/50 flip of the coin is much better than having no coin to flip........... Ya'll have a blessed day...........Bobby
Ha, I have the same problem @Bobby Cole. I repeatedly pray to win the lottery, and keep forgetting to be more specific. I won $5 the other day. While I appreciate that, it's not life-changing . It was in the high 70s here yesterday, and will be in the 80s today...ugh. The sun's gone again, and from the looks of the sky, it won't be back. But, I've had a beautiful view of the moon the past few nights.
We just simply have to count our blessings wherever we can find them. Whether a beautiful moon for lack of sun or a downpour of rain instead of a snowstorm, it is what it is.......a blessing!
But, I'd rather a snowstorm , especially if it melted somewhat soon, and didn't need to be shoveled. I'm hoping for some more cold weather, rather than a continuation of this too warm weather and an early Spring. It is nice to have some variety in the weather, which is why I like the colder snaps. It's warm too much of the year here, particularly this year, so a little change would be nice. The moon was really gorgeous. I'll try to shrink down and post a few of my pictures.
I ordered some Magnesium oil from Amazon this afternoon which is supposed to help with sleep, you massage it into your feet or wherever else you fancy and leave for 20 minutes or longer, will let you know if it works...
Another way to get the magnesium is to soak your feet in Epsom salts, which is a magnesium salt. I would think that the oil would do about the same thing as the Epsom salts, and might last on its effects longer since it is in an oil base. I also take a cal/mag/zinc before bed at night, since both the calcium and magnesium help to relax muscles so you can fall asleep easier and sleep better.
Saying a healing prayer for you and for the anxiety of worrying what the heart specialist is going to say, and also a prayer that they can help fix whatever problem they do find, @Babs Hunt . Let us know how things go when you feel up to it. The good thing is that , whatever the problem is, they are finding it right away, when it should be much simpler to take care of then if it had been there long enough to harm your heart. Hugs, prayers, and blessings to you !
A good morning to all my friends here .......I have just woke up at 8:00 am, though I was awake between 3 and 4 but managed to go back to sleep with aid of a pill...... It's a grey cool morning here at 2c and I will carry on preparing for my upcoming trip..... I do need to go out this morning in response to a call from my IT lady Maxine, who is always having computer related problems, plus having bought a new smartphone needs instruction on how to use it. Maxine and her partner Patrick live in a very old Tudor cottage full of stuff, and in the grounds of the house there are numerous sheds full of more stuff .....they are always sorting it out but it just seems to increase as far as I can see. They are a lovely couple though and I enjoy trying to solve their mainly self created problems... Have a great Saturday.... A painting of a street in Bangalore India
Yes I read about the Epsom salts foot bath or full bath methods Yvonne, but always being on the move and never having baths, I thought rubbing some oil into my feet before bed would suit me. ......Although I haven't had a bath for decades I do wash ....... taking a daily shower to help wake up...do you find the magnesium tabs actually help you with sleep @Yvonne Smith I read that the body doesn't readily absorb magnesium through the digestive system?
