Good morning everyone it's -3 c (26f) here and tonight it will drop to -9c (16f) so getting chilly. A sunny day is forecast so we will probably take the metro to one of the islands for a walk and lunch. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. It's 54 overcast degrees here in the little city on Iowa's east bank with rain on the way. Everyone seems to be going somewhere for dinner today, but I'm staying right here, where I function best. Watched the TV news last night and saw an item showing people camped out by a store's entrance, hoping to get good deals on some piece of electronic crap. Sorry but, I just can't see what's so alluring about all that. There ain't a gadget in the world I would need that bad. So, at 4:20am, I bid you all a good day and if you're going out, drive careful. Don't become a mangled wreck on some hi-way on the TV news.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. It's unusually warm here this morning but change is on the way. A cold front and heavy rain expected this evening with rain for the next 3 days totaling 4 to 6 inches. The weather guessers around here usually greatly exaggerate rainfall amounts but we still might get and inch or two.
No, this is how you do it... It's a mild 11C today, but I feel exhausted. A quick shopping trip to Kirkcaldy (10 minutes on the train) has left me with Christmas music overload. My senses and brain are now completely numb. However, there is a remedy and medication will be taken this evening... .
I'd give a lot to be able to drink my fill of beer, without it affecting my medical state in any way.
Change of plan this morning we ended up walking to the monastery up the road and went around part of the cemetery which is huge. I love visiting graveyards they have a tranquil atmosphere, for obvious reasons I guess. We stopped off at a new Georgian restaurant for lunch and had Lobio with beer and wine. Have posted photos here
