I can see myself sitting out on this porch this morning drinking my green tea with honey and a little flavored creamer. Although I do really like the beach, if I had the money to live anywhere I wanted the home above on that nice lake would be my favorite place to live.

I had such a wonderful day with my grandbaby yesterday. He's a really good baby and not shy like his sister was at his age. When it was time for him to go with Mommy, he kept staring at me like he was wondering why I wasn't coming too. Today I will rest and then tomorrow I will go spend a few hours with most of my other grandchildren while their moms have lunch together. They will bring me lunch back for keeping all the kids for them...that's like getting a extra present when all those grandkids of mine are such priceless presents to me. And I love having time with all of them.

Wishing you and yours a day with cherished memories to hold in your heart forever. :)

Good Morning to all. Finally March! On the 12th we change our time to DST and darn glad of it. The last few days here have been warm, more like May weather rather than "last week of Feb" weather. First day of March will see 88 degree high here. That is some 16 degrees above normal for March. However, starting tomorrow, and for the next few days, we are going to drop to high of 68. That's some 6 degrees lower than normal. Then, next week, we'll be back above normal temps again. Love the lower 80's.

Will have to wait another week or two to get our boat out on the water for the first time since two major repairs last summer/fall. We sure are glad it's in Dry Storage and not sitting on the trailer now. No more hooking it up to the trailer, driving to a ramp, launching, retrieving and driving back to the storage lot. A forklift pulls it down from a rack, puts into water, we start the engine and we're off. Much more easier on the "almost 70" year old bodies than before. Dry Storage costs double from lot storage, but it sure can be worth the extra money and the boat stays cleaner. Oh, did I say "We LOVE boating?" LOL

Good morning, (afternoon), to everyone. :)

We just got back from the vet, and Izzy is in prefect health. Even the lenses in his eyes are still in good shape, and he doesn't need a refresher course for his Service Dog certification.

@Terry Page you've been working so hard on you redecorating project that taking one day off might be just what you need. I can't wait to see your finished living-room. Yesterday I was checking out the pictures you posted, and it looks so modern. You just can't do that kind of repairs on a log cabin. :D

@Patsy Faye, can you paint? I would love to see some of your work. o_O

Also what are burning pins and needles? I understand that it has to do with your physical body, but down here, having pins and needles means that your excitedly expecting something, or your concerned about something.

@Babs Hunt I know what you mean about being able to sit out on a porch in the morning. It is one of my favorite morning things to do. It's a good way to watch the morning sun rise. This is my porch in February before I go crazy in a plant nursery. I start playing in the dirt this month. :p

@Cody Fousnaugh you and your Misses are so lucky to still be able to enjoy boating. It's been a long time since I've been able to go out into the direct sunlight. When my family was young, we stayed in a boat 3 or 4 days a week. Everyone stayed out of trouble because we kept all the kids busy either on a lake, river, or off shore. So boats were an important part of our daily lives. Next time you go out, take some pictures so we can share in your enjoyment. :)

It has to do with your nerve endings, they burn and it is like having pins and needles going through your skin
    The burning is unbearable

@Patsy Faye is it like Fibromyalgia? I have a nieces that has it, and she explains it in the same way. I know that on some days it can completely incapacitate her. :(

Spent the day helping clear some trees from a friend's yard from the morning storms,
and putting up some tarps on the roof.
We had 2 confirmed EF 1 Tornadoes in the area.
They hit around 7 a.m. when people getting ready for work and school.
No one I know was hurt, just property damage.
Where I live, had some fence damage, but pretty minor.

I am glad that you are okay, @Tim Burr . We had the tornado possibilities here; but only had some heavy thunderstorms and some hail, which came through early this afternoon.
The schools let out early, and the ones west of us closed completely, I think. We live near Redstone Arsenal, and most of the storms seem to split when they get close to us, and go either above or below most of Huntsville.
It seems like the Nashville area always takes a hard hit when the storms come through though, or at least it looks like it on our radar.

WOW!! @Tim Burr , I hope that is the worst you and your family have to go through this season. The weather is so weird lately. Last year, we had floods, and the coldest winter we had had in a very long time. This year, no winter at all. In February almost evert day was in the 80's.
