@Ina I.Wonder........I'm on a relocation forum and it's rather funny that, when someone is looking to move to Denver metro, people who live there will tell them to visit in the winter time after a snowstorm has hit to find out if they can really handle the snow they get. A number of people who live in Denver metro moved there from So. California. A lot of them didn't snow ski in So. California, so they have no idea what living in snow is like. When we lived there, we heard about a couple who had moved to south Denver from Palm Springs. They were there for part of one winter and moved back to Palm Springs.
Everyone Xx Feeling a bit brighter today, slept better Came up with a new routine before bed and it either worked or its coincidence Will try again tonight ...............
What the people in Colorado are saying is definitely a valid point, @Cody Fousnaugh . When I lived in north Idaho, it was the same kind of thing with people who moved there from California, or most anywhere in the south. They would arrive in spring or summer, enjoy all of the nice weather, and then when winter came, they had no clue how to drive on icy roads, or even how to winterize their home for the cold weather season. I think that is the reason that so many of the illegals who come here from Mexico and Central America end up living in the southern states; it is just way too cold for them further north, and they have no idea how to cope with it.
This AM is was 30 when wife and I got up. She had to wear her white winter coat and scarf to work again. This is insane b/c this is Florida. Good news is, it will warm up tomorrow and on. Hopefully, and we do mean hopefully, we won't see that cold weather again til November. Other than that, just working to get my distant blurred vision back to normal and BG back to normal as well. Wife's Trigger Thumb pain isn't getting any better, but hopefully new vitamin supplement coming in will help that. Sleeping ok, but could be better. Guess staying up to 10:45PM, to watch another episode of Longmire isn't helping.
Good day to all. @Terry Page , I hope your finished with at least the heaviest portion of your renovations. I'm excited to see your 'New' living space. How old is the building you live in? I always picture the buildings in England and Europe as old and interestingly put together. @Patsy Faye , what is your new bedtime routine? I find myself staying up later and later at night, but I'm still getting up between 5 or 6:am. I've tried a warn drink before 10:30 at night, but even a hot shower and a warm drink before bed isn't working. I'm also taking two Melitonin capsules, but that only worked for about a week. @Yvonne Smith , your are right about those that move North from their warmer climates. One of the problems with the influx of Central and South Americans into Texas is that they do go into the upper states, but they also return shortly after the snowy winters begin. Another thing is that many Texans are moving North to escape our changing culture. Of course Obama couldn't or didn't want to see that much of Texas is reverting back to it's Mexican roots. In this area, when you go out you are spoken to in Mexican first, and English seems to be the second choice. And, when you indicate that you do not speak Mexican, you then get the attitude that you should've learned. @Cody Fousnaugh , what part of Colorado are you and your misses planning to move to? Are the two of you city or country folk, or are you somewhere in between? Do ya'll have family or friends up there? I admit now that Michael is gone, I would be somewhat leary to move to a place that I would be all alone. I lived for more than a year by myself after he died, and I find that I didn't care for it. I was 63 before I ever had any time as a single person. I thank my Creator for sending me Bobert. I never want to remarry, and my grandson that is now living with me is making it possible for me to remain in my old log cabin.
@Ina I. Wonder - I can't have the chocolate drink when the weather warms up, so just have milk An hour before bed, I take a capsule of Montmorency Cherry - these do help you sleep, they are fine unless the nerve damage is on fire My latest routine is because of the nerve damage, so as well as the capsule, I used my arthritis gel (its very good) on my feet ! Then I took a sage tablet. Then right before bed, I put Germolene on my toes to numb them. I was much better last night, so hopefully I have found something to help ............... Check out the cherry capsule, its only one a night, they may just be the answer for you

The area we lived in before, Englewood and Parker, are very heavily populated now due to jobs in the area and in Denver. Are we "city" or "country" folks? We are the "country" type, but want a Walmart close at hand, so we wouldn't live out in the sticks. We love the sport of rodeo and I use to be pretty heavily involved in it. No family or friends there. In fact, I've only got a half-brother left out of my family, but my wife's two sisters and nieces live in Southern California. We never go back to that area again. Since being married, we've lived in three different states, with no family or friends in any of them. We do fine.
Hi @Patsy Faye , thank you for telling me of your routine. My grandson asked me to try unsweetened cherry juice for my RA, but I can not tell, if any, what effect it might be providing. Are the capsules different from just plain unsweetened cherry juice? I will look up the Germolene. I don't remember hearing of it before. Is it an ointment? Maybe if I could somewhat deaden the pain in my spine, shoulders, and hips, I at least could get to sleep.
@Ina I. Wonder - yes totally different from the juice, check the capsules on Amazon For your arthritis, the gel I use was recommended to me, it is good and no nasty smell It is called FX Silica gel - it has blackcurrent extract in it ......................
Good morning friends it's a bright though fairly cloudy morning here, I slept well apart from my usual awake time during the early hours of 2-3am. I will finish off the odds and ends today and do some tidying up on the Living Room Project ....have a great day.....
@Ina I. Wonder - If lack of sleep is due to metal alertness you could try relaxing essence You put some drops into a little water (say 2 desert spoons of water) this should relax you for sleep Link above Also they say Lavender relaxes, you could put a sachet into pillowcase or a few drops onto pillow Not sure I would like it, but you may love that smell
My wife has some Irish in her. A few years ago, when St. Pat's Day was on a Saturday, we met with another couple at a restaurant at the beach. The place was packed with mostly young folks. A Drum & Bagpipe group came in and were outstanding. Wife wanted to go out after she gets off of work, but every place will be packed by that time, as well as heavy traffic. When St. Pat's Day is on a Saturday, it's much easier to go out. Will miss the green beer and corned beef and cabbage meal, but........ Will have Mexican food instead. She did wear a green top to work this morning and they will be having a St. Pat's Celebration/Potluck at noon. So, she will get the meal, minus the green beer, but I won't.
