Good Morning. Hope everyone got a good night's sleep last night. I didn't, spent most of my night coughing and wheezing. Two days before I took the train home from helping with my grandbabies who along with their Mom and Dad had been sick with respiratory/bronchitis problems I woke up with a sore throat and congestion and have been struggling with trying to keep it from getting worse...but last night it sank into my chest and since I've had bronchitis many times before...I'm pretty sure that is what the diagnosis will be when I see my Doctor today. I don't like that my immune system cannot throw off sickness germs well anymore. Many of us know what this feels like as we have gotten older...so we can either gripe about it...or grin and bear it. Right now I'm going to gripe a little at the injustice of it all...and then once I see my Doctor and get some meds to help me feel better...I'm going to grin and bear it.:) It's nice to be among friends who know exactly what I'm talking about here since most of us are doing our best to "grin and bear" the health problems we have in our lives now days.

So my good thoughts for all of us today is that we each can smile through our troubles and still see the beauty of the roses in our lives even with the "thorns" among them. God bless us one and all.

Good that you are going to the drs @Babs Hunt, I prolonged my Bronchitis by at least a week because I thought it was the flu or a cold. Don't remember having Bronchitis so didn't even think that. It hit me hard...took me a long time to get back to "normal", partly to the fact that I wasn't eating and lost weight and felt weak...also that I didn't sleep well due to all the coughing at night.

Nice day here except that I have plumbers coming out at 1:00. My garbage disposal isn't working in my sink and the sink is clogged. Thankfully it's a double sink in the kitchen and the other side is fine but I can't use my dishwasher..

You do get up early! You just posted this and it's 8:18AM here on the East Coast. That means it's 5:18AM there. I've pretty much always been an "Early Bird", being partly raised on a farm, then in the Navy for some years. Unless we have something going on early on weekends, I'll let my wife will sleep in until 9:30AM.

Yeah...I didn't know which way this stuff was going to go...but last night it went towards the worse...so I have no choice but to go to the Doctor's now because it isn't going to get well on it's own now that it has worsened.

Did you try plunging your sink, etc. Chrissy?

Well I definitely have bronchitis and it didn't look like the other patients in the waiting room at my Doctor's were happy with me coughing almost non-stop...even though I did cough in a couple of kleenex's. That cough got me in to see my Doctor real quick and I've already picked up my antibiotic and stopped at the Library real quick to grab some new books to read while I'm getting well. Just finished making me a yogurt smoothie to coat my stomach with before I down those first two antibiotics. ;) This New Year sure hasn't been good for me healthwise..I'm praying that will change for the better real soon.

They gave me a mask at my drs office but that's the first time I ever wore one and didn't like it...it kept steaming up my glasses, lol.

I was thinking of wearing it into Walgreens so I'd get my antibiotic faster but it wasn't crowded so didn't need to. :)

I have a strong stomach and could take mine without food, it said with or without and I know my stomach and nothing upsets it.

It also took taking them the whole week before I felt too much better...so just take them and relax...

I've had bronchitis so many times Chrissy that I know just what to expect. My stomach doesn't like any antibiotic (or most medicines) but it does better when I make sure I do yogurt with it. What I hate is even when you feel better, the cough seems to take forever to go away...I actually laughed when my new Doctor reminded me of that this morning.

What is really funny too is that my daughter and her Family in Texas all had this...but my daughter (the Respiratory Therapist) told me I couldn't catch it if I went over there to help because they had all been on antibiotics for days before I went. Ha Ha! I was right when I told her as long as the children, etc. were having symtoms they could spread those germs to me. Baby Bennett who is only 6 months old couldn't get enough of giving his Granny "kisses" that covered my whole face so I have no doubt where the germs came from. But I couldn't have refused those kisses from that sweet baby boy!

This was my first ever catching something from grandsons or even daughter so I was surprised. I'm a little more careful now, when I remember I even wipe the carts in stores....it just left me too weak and I never want to go through it again....unless I have someone to take care of me.

Yes, the cough will last a while for sure. Last night I woke up coughing and panicked thinking I'm getting again but it was just a fluke...I hope.

Ya see, another reason I get somewhat confused about the "like" button. I do not want you to feel as though I like the idea that you are not well even though I hit the like switch. Had to post just to make sure you know that my prayers are with you which is an oxymoron by itself. I like including folks in my prayers but I do not like the idea that they are ill to begin with. Get well soon and God bless.........

Agree that sometimes the like button isn't the right choice but it's the only choice so I hope people understand.

So, you are saying that I will have to look harder for that ray of sunshine that you give on an otherwise cloudy day? That's like telling older folks at the home that Bingo will be omitted on Saturday nights!

Good Morning. @Bobby Cole thanks for your prayers, they are always appreciated and don't worry about that Like button...I don't take it the wrong way. :)

It was a rough night sleepwise with this cough but I'm going to make myself a big pot of my chicken vegetable soup today and that should help me get better faster. It's the only thing I feel like eating right now too.

It's a good day today even if I do have bronchitis and my body feels yuck! And I hope it's a good day for all of you.

Beautiful pictures today @Terry Page :)
