Good morning all, it's sunny here and 5c (40f) so still cold, we were going to the country but snow is forecast on Monday, so we will stay in town. It's supposed to warm up next week to around 60f. In the meantime a walk this afternoon is about all we will manage. Enjoy your weekend.....
Pink Lavendar roses from my Honey. Happy Mother's Day weekend to all us mothers. My Honey was sweet and brought me some pink lavendar roses yesterday. This afternoon we will be celebrating Mother's Day with a crawfish boil at my middle daughter's home with all my daughters and grandkids. At first we were going to put off celebrating Mother's Day because things have been and are so hectic right now, but everyone is in and everyone is in the mood to eat boiled crawfish today so we will be celebrating Mother's Day and just being together after all.
We managed a short walk in the sun though the wind was chilly, we ended up at a new restaurant literally across the road from Lisa'a apartment, it's only been open for three weeks so we thought we would see what it was like, it's called "Hochu Borscha" a Gastro Cafe..........the food and service were good so we will return.... The place was empty when we arrived but slowly filled up by the time we left............. We had a starter of Russian style rosti with chopped ham served with sour cream, here is a partly eaten portion... The mains were pork with new potatoes plus a cod with beetroot dish... on our walk we bought some strawberries again to have as a dessert..... The seniors selling there produce as usual...
It's Mother's Day tomorrow in Brazil as well. The town center is full of people buying presents. Impossible to park!!! My mom came to spend the weekend with me and tomorrow my son is coming for lunch.I'll prepare something special for them, as I continue my detox plan. Have a great Sunday, everyone!
It is not even close to morning (except maybe for the ones in the UK), but everyone looks on this thread; so I want to let everybody know that we are back from the trip, and Evelyn is tucked away in the bed for a good night's sleep. Robin and I left first thing this morning, arrived at Southhaven around noon, and were on our way back with Evelyn and the truck loaded down, sometime around 2 this afternoon. When we got back here, Bobby helped us onload Robin's truck, and everything is stored on the front porch until Monday , when we can go and see about getting the apartment business taken care of. Headed for bed now myself. thank you all for the prayers and the support ! ! Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms on the forum , too ! !
