Good morning all, from my house to your house... ...It's a belting hot morning here already and set to get hotter abut 90 degrees today... I went out to sit in the garden with my cuppa tea, and watch the antics of the birds at the feeding station...and sat down on the chair without looking, straight onto a soaking wet cushion caused by the high humidity during the night...*ugh*...lol...soaking wet trousers...
Quite the contrast between your location @Holly Saunders and ours. The morning birds were sounding off at 3:30 a.m. but were soon literally drowned out by the thunderstorm that is still coming through. Admittedly, while I do enjoy the birds in the morning, I also enjoy the light show and the enormous booms that come with a good storm. So, it's a wash. One good thing replacing another still makes for the start of a fantastic day! Ya'll have a blessed day today......
Good morning! Leaving for my daughter's this morning for my grandson's graduation tomorrow. 96 degrees here today and 63 on the coast. Tomorrow looks chilly too there. It's going to be a full house at daughter's with all the out of state guests and family, I just hope Pickles doesn't growl and snap at the 2 little girls...cousins of my grandson's. Coming back Friday so a short trip this time. Have a great day! Oops, forgot I have a hair appt in the afternoon there...good.
I just read their local news and this Memorial Day weekend on the Monterey Penisula is supposed to be the busiest since 2005! Hope my drive back on Friday isn't bad but Friday's are always bad but I'll be going in the opposite direction...hopefully people won't be driving towards Yosemite!
We have t-storms going on today. For the last 3 days, including today, been having hard rains. Doubt very much if we still have a "draught" problem! Wife is taking Friday off, so it will be "Party-Time" for four days. Only kidding about the "Party-Time", but. Funny though, on Friday evening, when my wife comes home from work, she will look at me and say "Party-Time". We are in our late 60's, but we sure don't sound like it.
It is sunny and a bit of wind...but a glorious day to work on my plants. I bot a couple of very small ones today. Btw I have absolutely not an ounce of talent in my body...but but give. me a plant...even half dead and I can make it grow
I'm the opposite of you, @Gloria Mitchell ....I'll kill anything...I try though. Don't know if it's the horrible weather here or me...the only thing I managed to grow was the rose I planted 13 years ago in memory of my husband. Also, I made it to my daughter's but traffic was horrible...worst ever, especially for a Wednesday.

Have just received a photo from Caroline of my granddaughter Elizabeth holding her obligatory fashion accessory an iPhone , taken on her 14th birthday yesterday, she is at that age where she looks different every few weeks, I will hardly recognise her when I get home at the end of next month......
