Good morning friends, it's 8am on a bright Saturday morning here, will get up, get some coffee and then plan our day, ...... enjoy yours.....
Wow oh wow.. my daughter got a text late Thursday nite , saying their place of business(insurance company) was under a threat...staying home is fine and they would be paid. Those that showed up were asked to leave by local police.. so far we do not know what is going on.
@Cody Fousnaugh and @Gloria Mitchel praying God's hedge of protection around your loved ones that He may keep them safe from all harm wherever they are. @Yvonne Smith thanking our heavenly Father for bringing you and Robin safely home. Praying God will lift the pain many are feeling these days whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual...and bring healing to each of you wherever you may need it. May God's love hug each of you today.
A very good Sunday morning to you all, it's 8am here and warm in the 70s already, I have just been for a walk around the garden and the air has a soft summer feel to it. I sleep better here in the country, though we lack the mod cons of the city, it's quieter and the air is fresh, plus we are surrounded by nature.... I dream a lot more here, but rarely remember them, though last night I recall I was having a prolonged dream about a journey on a bus, I awoke to sharing a bag of crisps/chips with a woman and her daughter who came and sat next to me, not sure what it means, though dreaming about travel doesn't surprise me Enjoy your Sunday.....
@Terry Page , I've been away for awhile, so I've lost track of your travels. Where are you now, and what are you and the Lady Lisa up to lately. I really enjoy reading about the wonderful places you go, and you show us all the many ways things and people are different, and at the same time, the same all over the world.
Good morning. In just a couple of weeks My youngest daughter and her family with be living once again here is Lafayette. This is answered prayered for not only me, but for her sisters, in-laws, and many friends too and we are all thanking our heavenly Father for bringing this precious family home to us and with a promotion in his job for my son-in-law. I am also thanking Him that their new home will be so close to us too as this will make it much easier for me to drive our car over there while my Honey is at work and help with the grandbabies often. I'm so thankful that God's plan included bringing my "baby" and her babies back home to all of us.
Good to see you back @Ina I. Wonder I have lost track of my travels as well ........ I have been in St.Petersburg for the past 3 months and go home on the 20th June, then we fly out to Peru on July 3rd...... after catching up with my family. It's a sunny morning at 7am on Monday here in the country and we return to St.Peter later today. I wish you a good relaxing day......
@Terry Page , how long have you been traveling, not counting work related travels? I envy your ability to still be able to handle the physical aspects of traveling. It must be exciting to be able to travel so much, and you're blessed to have such a companion with which to share everything you see and experience. I'm looking forward to seeing Peru through your and Lisa's eyes. The only other place I see such sights is in my monthly National Geographic.
Hello @Maryt Hope, I'm in Texas, and it is just after 12:30am, but I can't sleep, How about you, what party of this world are you in? It always takes me awhile to get people set in my memory.
I really enjoy waking up early in the morning, having my cup of coffee and sweet treat, being able to watch the sun come up and the birds come to feed and play in the bird bath. I think what I like most of all about getting up early is the quiet and peacefulness before the chaos of the "world" disrupts this quiet and peacefulness. We're blessed to live on the outskirts of the city limits so to join in most of that chaos we would have to get in our cars and go meet up with it. Though we do live in a small subdivision, there is not much traffic in and out of it or wild parties on the weekends, etc. As I've gotten older I find I don't like chaos much so I'm really glad I don't have to be surrounded by it all the time. And I'm really glad I don't have to wake up to it anymore either. Life on this earth is not perfect...but it's all we for now have so I try to make the best of it even on the worst days. And I enjoy all the little things I do thing are perfect about it right now. It may be little things like waking up to the peace and quiet of this morning without a pain or ache in this old body of mine. Or savoring the flavor of my morning cup of coffee and sweet treat. There are blessings throughout our day and counting mine each day is one of my favorite things to do. May all of you be blessed today with some of your favorite things. And may your week be blessed with joy and peace.
I have been traveling since the early 1960s @Ina I. Wonder though since retiring and meeting Lisa it has become a lot more frequent........ I know I am lucky to be physically up to so much travel, though I did say to Lisa the other day, I will probably need to slow down when I got 80 in four years time
