Good morning. It's 69 degrees here and the rains have moved in for a few days. Haven't much planned today as most things that need doing are outside. Couldn't take my walk this morning, so I'll get the WII exercise tape out and walk in the living room.

Greetings from beautiful downtown river city, nestled in the east bank notch. It's a sultry 25 degrees at 7am under clear skies, and I really need to do laundry today. I have nothing left that I can wear inside out.:)
I've been staying in lately, even though it warms up into the 40's and more later in the day. I'm determined to avoid colds and flu. Seems to help to stay away from crowds of people.
Done all my Christmas shopping already. Sent checks or cash to all my kids. I really hate the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. People keep inviting me to their homes and I have to refuse. Travel by vehicle is troublesome, and after I arrive, dealing with steps is another trouble spot. Then, everyone has furniture that sets so low to the floor, it is extremely difficult to get out of. My apartment is adjusted to me, and here is where I'm happy being.
So, behave and be careful. Load your gun, don't go anywhere without it. The life it saves may be yours.

Good morning everyone, high of 61 today! Just woke up, had a slightly rough night again. Going to take my second dose of antibiotic soon.

Ike, I thinks that's where I got whatever I have...crowds! When I'm at daughter's we are always out and running around shopping etc. sometimes I catch something the grandsons had but not this as nobody else was or is sick.

I'm surprised my grandsons didn't get this...I made their schools lunches and handled a lot of their food.

Holly, I know you've had surgery and still have back issues, what was this recent scan for?

I also have back issues and a back that can spasm at any time, hope you find some answers and relief.

Terry, glad you're not sad anymore. :)

Well Ike I guess as I tend not to behave, am not that careful and have never had a gun, (probably safer that way in my case) I may not last the day ;)

    Good morning one and all.
Ike, I didn't know you lived in the city where The Music Man was filmed.
    Cool.

I've always dreamed of living in a place like that. I can't count all the cabins like that I have constructed in my mind.

Actually, River City is a fictitious Iowa location. There ain't none. I call my town river city because, like a number of other Iowa towns, it's located on the bank of the Mississippi river. Right "in the notch". My town is named Muscatine. As far as I know, no other town is named that.

I've been sitting around waiting for a courier delivery. I have just learned that the courier has indeed delivered. The small problem is that they have delivered my goods to Brighton, a mere 400 miles or so from where I live. Okay, the town I live in is on the coast and even begins with a B, but Brighton it ain't.

    Have a good day everyone,
I hope your delivery problem got sorted yesterday Tom.

HI Chrissy...I'm sorry you have the back issues too..not in any way fun is it?...I'm waiting for yet another procedure on my back...but in the meantime I have some ENT issues which is what I had the MRI scan for..however ultimately yesterday. my concerns were wasted , because when I got to the appointment it transpires they'd jumped the gun and in fact they hadn't yet received the results of the Scan from the other hospital so they've made me another appointment for next week...*sigh*... irritating as well because it caused me untold anxiousness, and also a day off work..

    Morning everybody...

Almost 7.30am, and I'm just getting ready to leave for the workhouse.

Still dark out, and blowing very cold strong winds...

    Enjoy your plumbing duties Terry...

    Have a good day all..
