Awww. That first picture is definitely me in the Pioneer days @Terry Page. Good Morning one and all. Could you see yourself living in any of the places above? I know I can and wish it was so in real life. It's hard to believe that Fall is already just a short time away, this year is sure flying by. I'm off to play with my youngest grandchildren for a few hours in about an hour and a half while their Mom does some shopping for their new Home. With the youngest just starting to walk now and shakey on his "sea legs" I really have to keep a good eye on him now so he doesn't fall down and hurt himself on something that has got in his way. This Granny will definitely be tired in a good way when I head home again. I just pulled an banana nut chocolate chip bundt cake/bread out of the oven to let it cool so I can bring some to share with them...they love that cake/bread. I also peeled the shrimp I'm going to use in a shrimp and yellow rice casserole that I'm going to make for supper tonight. I enjoy making tasty casseroles. Add a salad to go with it and your meal is complete. We have been having more rain again this week but thank goodness it is just short showers off and on, although there has been alot of thunder and lightning off and on too. Whatever your day is like...I just hope it's a good for you. Enjoy!
Have fun @Babs Hunt ...just starting to walk is the most tiring age to watch. I don't think I moved more than a few inches from them....didn't want a bump on the noggin while I was watching them.
Morning all... It's forecast to be sunny and warm today but it doesn't look like it at the moment the skies are grey and it's quite chilly... Yesterday was glorious as was Sunday...we hired a little motorboat and sailed up the river for a couple of hours.. as did so many others.. Hopefully the sun will come out today, and we can go out and have lunch in the pub garden later.. Have a good day everybody whatever you're up to today
Good afternoon to you all, I woke up this morning feeling flat and low in spirits for no particular reason, just an off day I guess I got stuck into the garden again and created a huge pile of hedge trimmings, I then lit a bonfire and burnt it all, and now I feel much brighter with a glass of Chilean Merlot left over from the Re-Enactment show..... Happy Friday everyone, hope it's a really nice one for us all. I had such a nice time with my youngest grandkids the other day. They both were in great moods and my grandson was "strutting his stuff" showing me how big he is now by walking all over the place and sitting in his chair while he played his piano, etc. and watched Barney on TV. My granddaughter and I played with some Play Dough and after she tired of that, we played Hike and Seek from each other. We also made a castle out of the couch pillows and she said I had to be the queen while she and my grandson were the Princess and Prince. I'm glad to see she has a really good imagination and is starting to let her brother play with us too. We are still experiencing rain over here on pretty much a daily basis. Whatever pressure systems are near us right now are wrecking havoc on my body and my bones hurt so bad I just want to jump out of my own body. Usually this will happen and within a few days it will pass...but with the pressure systems staying around right now I am finding little relief from the deep aching in my bones and joints. This part of getting older is not fun at all.
