Wood-touching or knocking is prevalent in many countries. It possibly stems from old pagan beliefs of spirits inhabiting trees. However, Italians prefer to touch iron (tocca ferro). Back to the present, I wish the winter solstice would hurry up so that we can have some more daylight. Even at half-past eight in the morning, it's still pretty dark here in Scotland. At least my courier delivery arrived this morning, having had an amusing diversion to Brighton.
Good morning everyone! 64 today and I still am not 100%, this is the longest I've been sick for awhile. I have to go out today though for food, haven't been eating well because of the antibiotic and I just didn't feel like making anything. Maybe I'll buy some TV dinners, something I rarely do but I need to get my strength back. Hope you all have a great day! As Terry says, maybe if I touch wood I'll get lucky and feel better. My father's birthday was in April, but no one else in our family or amongst my friends as far as I know. I am 7 today so no right to be on here really It's damp and dark at 8am at the moment but sun promised later, will go for a walk if it does. Have a good morning everyone whatever age you are.
Mornin all. It's 1:30am here on Iowa's east bank and 32 degrees. Got woke up by the putz down the hall with the yappy lil ankle biter. Both were out in the hall yelling and barking. When he takes the mutt out to the alley to do it's business, I hear them out there yelling and barking, since my apartment faces the alley. If I owned a dog and lived here, I'd teach it to pee and crap in the shower. Easy to clean up, and you don't have to go out in bad weather. But no, lets wake everyone up instead. So, my day is off to a bad start. It ain't even 2am yet and I'm already pizzed off. It's supposed to stay dry and hit the 50's today. Maybe I'll ramble over to the store. Buy some 'taters. Ain't had a baked 'tater in a long while. So, behave yourselves. If ya can't behave, then kick a ankle biter if ya see one.
