Pickles isn't there, he's never been in Illinois...my daughter watches him while I'm gone...usually for a month. Pickles wouldn't let himself be disturbed...that's just the way he is....he's the BOSS.
The picture is lovely @Maryt Hope @Chrissy Cross - I remember that now, you'll have to excuse my lack of attention at times ...........
Ha ha..I'm the same! To be honest, Pickles wouldn't survive the flight unless he was sedated. He's been making the 3 hr car ride at least twice a month for 9 years to my daughter's house and he still panics.
I usually wake up cheerful, but I do like to have a cup of morning coffee soon after I wake up. When I first wake up, thinking about that wonderful flavor of hot coffee in my cup just makes me really happy , and so I toodle on down the hall and into the kitchen to start my cup of coffee brewing. Bobby, on the other hand NEEDS at least 3-4 cups of strong black coffee before. Dare even say good morning to him. Fortunately, he also usually gets up ahead of me, so by the time I wake up, he is “confined-up” and ready to converse a little. What I can’t handle first thing is when some thing does not work right, or has to be done immediately, any thing that stresses me out........ my brain just doesn’t work right for that when I wake up. Otherwise, I am cheerful, looking forward to my coffee.
We have birdies coming out every day over here Patsy, though they will wait for a lull in the rain to come and feed from our Feeders and off the ground around them. I love to see the Cardinals in the Winter...the males especially add such a dash of color to the muted hues of Winter.
Our Christmas family gathering plans are now being put into place. From what I'm gathering with the phone call yesterday we will all be going to my middle daughter's home (the one that flooded and was renovated) instead of my oldest daughter's home this year. Now they are trying to figure out what time to gather and the Christmas menu. My daughter asked my opinion and I told her I only ask that it not be held to late in the day because we have problems seeing good at night to drive home, and I often can not stay up late anymore. As for the Menu I would be happy with gumbo, potato salad, garlic bread and a dessert. We all just finished stuffing ourselves at Thanksgiving with so food that I still don't have an appetite for much of anything. I don't know what the final menu will be until they call me and let me know what they want me to bring besides my Christmas Bark. I'm beginning to feel like a bear again and just want to go hibernate somewhere until winter is over with. May your day be a good one.
You're a lucky gal Babs, if I could see different birdies throughout the year, I would be so happy @Maryt Hope - love the snowmen, so cheery
Good morning everyone. Chilly here and now I see that they're calling for rain here on Wednesday...the day I'm supposed to leave for my daughter's ....a whole month there hasn't been any rain and there's no rain after Wednesday either...just right on the one day I decided to leave. I may change my plans but in any case I have lots to do today and tomorrow. I also woke up with a slight headache which is very rare for me. So far, not a good start....
