Good morning everyone! Leaving this morning for my daughter's on the coast. I didn't leave yesterday because of the rain an dtoday its dense fog but I'm still going...just a little later. The whole month is sunshine except the two days I want to travel.
Afternoon folks... It''s another grim fog filled day... I've been busy making all sorts of phone calls this morning, chasing up this and that...I got a reminder twice to pay a bill that was paid on the first day as I always do with bills...so I had to call and get that sorted too. and they had the nerve to be irritated with ME...when they were in the wrong , and I was being Nice to THEM on the phone....*tsk* .. Anyway only one more day and my o/h is off on a Christmas break...and tomorrow my new mattress is supposed to be getting delivered for my new Leather Ottoman Base..and then while hubs has time off he can dismantle my old bed which I'm going to sell on Gumtree, because it's in really excellent condition and modern ...and then he can put my new bed together . Gave the postie his annual Christmas tip ( he's not the same one as we had last year)...and he is always a bit miserable and grumpy, but today when I gave him his tip, his face lit up and he kept saying '' awww bless you''..I'd never seen him so animated or smiley.. oh well you never know what goes on in people's lives that can make them so grumpy sometimes.. @Holly Saunders - so hope your mattress is a good As for your telephone experience I had that a couple of years back, I'd paid, it was on me bank statement that they had took it but what a palava it was, I disconnected them from me life after that one !

Good Morning all.. Another drizzly dull day...3 days before Christmas day. My new mattress has just been delivered. I asked the 2 guys if they would take it upstairs, and they were happy to do that... but on the way down one of them slipped and fell down our narrow stairs... I hate those stairs because they are deeply carpeted as well, they are so slippery on the risers.. anyway he was fine, and laughed about it, but I had to give them a big tip..lol Still got to wait in for another parcel...new slippers I ordered for myself... don't know when they're coming today so I can't go anywhere until they do... Good morning everyone. I went to doctor yesterday. He says I'm doing good, better than expected. Wants me to start physical therapy after the holidays. Rain expected today maybe changing to sleet or snow later. Burn bans finally lifted so I'm going to try and get the big pile of brush burned this morning if I can beat the rain. House is still a mess since the water heater leak. It's dried but needs repairs done. I noticed most of the people working on the leak problem kept referring to the water heater as a Hot Water Heater. If the water was hot we wouldn't need to heat it. Be honest now... Do you say hot water heater or water heater?
