Good evening to you all, it's been a slow day for me, I have felt all weak and wobbly with a very low BP all day, yesterday it was high all day, my body is just weird the thing is on a high BP I feel on top of the world ...... I did cook a spicy cottage pie and cleaned some pots and pans, but have been lying down the rest of the time.......... Have a great weekend

Good Morning all... It's another grey dreary day...not fun in that for Christmas weekend..but what IS fun is that this is the first time in years I've not had to work at Christmas eve or new years eve...yeaaaahhh.... !! I slept long last night although my shoulders were sore , and was woken up by the Parcel delivery ... new bedding for my new bed which isn't even put together yet lol. If I'd just bought a different bed the same size it wouldn't have been a problem but since I've bought a different size, It's cost me loads in new bedding and linens to fit it... Anyway..its all good, and I'm glad it's here... oh, and also I got a personally written Christmas card from both of my Postmen , so that was nice too... Hope you all have a lovely Saturday...
Good morning everyone! Very busy day, leaving for the San Jose mall at 6:30 am....probably just do Nordstroms though, daughter has to exchange or return something and it's a Christmas gift so we have to go today. Then on the way back, we need to stop for groceries which will also be a zoo. Then at home we start some prep for the big Christmas Eve dinner. Sunday will be busy with more cooking, then the in laws coming and then the dinner. CHristmas day everyone opens presents and then later we're all going to see the new Star Wars movie. I'm heading back home on Tuesday....since I have to come back here in 2 weeks to watch the 14 yr old grandson for a week while my daughter and SIL go off on vacation with my SIL aunt and uncle to their resort type home in the DR. Think it has 6 bedrooms because my daughter's other in laws are also going as is her sister and bil that live in Arizona. Also her best friend and her hubby that live in her neighborhood. So a total of about 5-6 couples. It's only costing air fare and whatever they pitch in for food or to be nice. The place has its own cook and butler etc. My son and DIL were a.so invited but they have nobody to watch the 3 boys since I'm watching my daughter's. My daughter was quick to grab me before her brother did, lol The other grandma..my DILs mother would have been willing but she's working and can't.
I know I said I wouldn't be back until the New Year but I wanted to share a few things with y'all. It seems that two of my daughters have asked us to be Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus this year so they have been dropping off all their Santa gifts for our grandkids along with wrapping paper and all the other things you need to get those presents ready to go under the tree. Last year we played Santa for my middle daughter and I guess she spread the word that we did a great job and it would be a blessing to all of them not to have to stay up all night after all the Christmas gatherings...to wrap presents from Santa. We also have our friend and former Landlord's cottage to store everything in since he is wintering in Florida. He was happy to help Santa out too when we called and asked him if we could store all the gifts at his place. I wrapped a couple of things yesterday...but it will look like Santa's workshop today as my Honey and I both get "Santa's" gifts ready to go under the Christmas trees. We also got a big surprise in our Christmas card from our next door neighbor and former Landlord. First of all he never sends us a card, but this year he did, and when I opened the card up there was a brand new $100 bill in it with a P.S. saying this is for the great job y'all do taking care of my place while I'm away and for the delicious meals Babs shares with me when I'm there. What a nice surprise. I also received a great big present from my husband's daughter...which she has never done before either. I must have been a really good girl to be blessed so this Christmas. I hope many of you are receiving unexpected blessings too during the Christmas season.
Now I am but yesterday was a boring day...my daughter worked. My New Years resolution is to get out more at home so maybe I'll be busy busy busy there too. I need to make a drastic change in my life style.
@Babs Hunt, nice to see you I thought we weren't going to see you for a while ...wow a $100 dollars from your landlord...yeaaah that's a great Christmas resent, and when was the last time you saw a $100 dollar bill? You and hubs are going to make the best Santa and Mrs Claus ever, I'm sure of it.. I hope you all have a wonderful time
Good evening from a snowy St.Peter, it's been a mixed day, I slept well and my BP is back to normal so I feel good, but sadly Lisa woke up at 5am with sickness and diarrhea, so she has spent the day in bed, thankfully she is feeling better now though feeling weak, but our Christmas celebrations tomorrow will be OK I think. We both ate the same food and drink yesterday, so it must have been a bug of some sort, hopefully I won't go down with it tomorrow I just took a short video of the snowstorm from the balcony.
I am just to excited about all the surprises to not share these things with y'all. The one who gifted us with the $100 bill is not our Landlord anymore....he used to own all four Cottages but now he only owns one he keeps for himself over here. The rest he sold to his former Manager of our Cottages. Now our former Landlord is a friend and next door neighbor when he is in town and my Honey takes care of his plants, etc. while I share our meals with him often when he is in...since he is a Widower. And actually the last time I saw two hundred dollar bill was about 8 month ago when our friend came to stay in his Cottage for awhile and gifted us each with $100 bill for taking such good care of his place and him while he was in. He has alot of those $100 bills since he is rich but we love him because he is a good friend and neighbor. And yes, we are having alot of fun playing Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and wrapping gifts for our grandkids. etc. My middle daughter picked up some wrapped ones a short while ago and said we will have to make this a tradition from now on. I told her as long as we are here to help we will.
