Good morning everyone and I hate to even say this but today we're going to be 69 and 71 tomorrow. Seems the forecast has changed a little but really only by a few degrees. I have PT this morning and I really don't feel like going because I'm worried about my back. I'll let them know to go easy on me...on the 12th I have to go to my daughter's for a week and watch the 14 yr old, while they go on trip. No time for a back spasm. Yesterday I started to put away a few of my Christmas decoration, I'm in no hurry but do want it done by the time I leave. I'm on day 2 of my diet and so far so good. Had a cheese omelette for breakfast and I'm really not that hungry now. Have a great day!
I am happy to tell you that the forum has taken a secret vote, and we have all decided that the SOC Winter Festival will be held at your house this year, @Chrissy Cross ! We will all be arriving soon so we can enjoy some of that 70+ weather with you. Since the festival will last until March (or maybe even April if it is a bad winter this year), be sure to stock up on lots of coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks for us , and get the spare bedrooms ready. I am SO looking forward to this.......
Jeez, and I was going to hire the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to go to Chrissy's because I thought we were going to have Yvonne's birthday party there. I guess I'll have to call off the strippers and caterers too.......................
Are we talking male strippers @Bobby Cole? I may have room for a few of ya! Of course my bedroom will be reserved for a stripper of my choosing. Awww, I just looked and I'm leaving for my daughter's the day AFTER Yvonne's birthday but since they'll be gone for a week I'm inviting you all to the BIG house on the Monterey peninsula...weather is similar and much to do in that area. Can also sleep many more people. I know the number they use at the country club to get things put on their bill...we can have a second party for Yvonne there. Even though I'm joking around...I think we would have fun....my OCD doesn't come in to play at their house and I wouldn't be watching where you put stuff, lol. Doesn't bother me there for some reason.
My bags are packed and loaded in the car, and I am ready to PARTY , @Chrissy Cross ! Monterey, here I come.....
@Chrissy Cross I have a rule that the Christmas stuff has to be taken down no later than Groundhog Day. Most times I make it...couple of times things didn't work out.
@Babs Hunt , what a beautiful picture of your daughter and family...really gorgeous. She's your youngest, how old is she? I know what you mean about those space heaters et al... lots of people using inappropriate heating devices.. and or too close to soft furnishings and homes going up in flames. It's a pity that before people set up home on their own or together with a partner that they can't take some kind of ''common sense' class. I really sincerely mean this I'm not being sarcastic.. . We do expect people to just leave home and ''know'' these things, but a class could teach them all the things that perhaps their more sensible parents did not.. basic safety issues in the home for example.. I often worry about people who live in apartments, who might have someone who lives above or below them who are unenlightened to the serious risks they may be creating for their neighbours and themselves in their ignorance
I am very OCD about anything that can cause a fire. When I leave for my daughter's I unplug everything even though I probably don't have to....it's just part of my routine.
Good Morning All Thinking of the smell of the Plumeria tree outside my bedroom window in Hawaii. Trade winds blowing in to wake me up. 72 ° most days. 12° F right now in Nashville.
Love the Plumeria and how it smells @Tim Burr. Ive brought back shampoo and body wash with that scent. My first trip to Maui I bought myself a real gold ring that's a plumeria ....forgot I even have it til now. My daughter bought me a matching bracelet back then to go with it. Part of my "good" jewelry that I never wear anymore.
