Diane, thanks for the reminder. It's cloudy here so I doubt I'll get to see it. Bummer.
Good morning Ike, enjoy your glorious day!

It's a lovely, sunny, windless day here on Scotland's east coast. Just in case nobody believes me...

Not morning, but half-past seven in the evening and the last of the sunset...

As an addendum to yesterday's sunset, I note that it was as warm (21C) in Edinburgh yesterday as it was in Rome. There are few occasions when I could type those words. Same again today.

Cool and sunny here in Iowa land. 50 degrees at 9:50am on a Wednesday morning. Wish I could still haunt my favorite woods hunting squirrels. My son is taking up where I had to let go. Son bought a new CZ .22 rifle. Says it's a real tack driver. :D

That sounds like a good day, Ike. The sun is shining here, I'm awake, and I have food and tea, so I'll count this as a good day here, as well.

Great pics, y'all, thanks for sharing!

It's a slow starter for me here today, @Joe Riley, although I've been up for hours. Or, maybe it's because I've been up for hours. I'm always sluggish when I get less sleep. But, it feels a little cooler, even though it's supposed to reach 89 here today. The sky looks pretty, there's a breeze blowing through the trees, and the birds are chirping. Good morning, everyone!

Yes, we've done it! Edinburgh was warmer than Rome yesterday (21 plays 19).

Into October and the sun continues to shine. Highly pleasant though this is, I find something faintly disturbing about it. Winters have been noticeably milder in recent times and the trend will continue until people begin to understand that this planet is not a limitless resource with which we can do anything we like.

Good morning to all. Almost 11:00 am and I haven't got a darn thing done. Been on this IPad most of the morning. I've got to cut down or delete a few things. Getting to time consuming.

Rise and shine on this second day of October. It's a cool 43 degrees here on the east coast of Iowa. We're in for a balmy 68 degrees later, on this payday Friday. Yep, it's payday for some of us and for me that means a trip to the ol' money house (bank) and grub house (Grocery store).

In long ago days it meant something totally different. My crew and I would get off work at 7am, cash our paychecks, stop at our favorite chow house and eat breakfast. In my case, a huge order of biscuits and sausage gravy a coffee. After that, some of us would head for the little blue saloon on the south edge of town and drink beer and shoot pool until late afternoon or evening. Great times.

But, no more of that for this wore out and used up ol' cuss. I'm behaving myself these days. Have a good 'un, you all.
