Warming up here and beginning to get the boat ready for the water. Bought the Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi yesterday, in Blue-Ray. Watching it last night, but had to stop. Forgot just how long the movie is and it was bedtime. This is the third time we've seen it. First time was in a big Wide Screen, 3-D, Dolby Sound theater last December three days after it came out. My wife loved it. Went back in the middle of January and seen it in a regular Digital theater. Have learned a lot about the movie and how certain scenes and dialog relate to the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope (1977) and the third Return of the Jedi (1983). Doubt we'll see Solo, the next Star Wars movie.
Good morning everyone, it's the day of my colonoscopy, the 4th one so far it's at 4 pm this afternoon, I have just started drinking the 2 litres of nuclear laxative so just sit and wait, I have only eaten a boiled egg since I got back so I am pretty empty I think It's a bright morning here and I will walk to the hospital which is only about 15 minutes away, my daughter Cathy has started walking to work there every day since her new job started, which is good for her health. I have to drink another litre of plain water together, with the laxative which makes it 6.5 US pints in total, a lot of liquid Enjoy your day This is the newish Worcester Royal Hospital where I will go.... ......and the old one which has been converted into a "Worcester University" campus
Good morning! 80's here and also by my daughter where I'm heading this morning. Only difference is out temps will stay in the 80's all week where as theirs will drop to the 60's after tomorrow. @Terry Page , you're braver than I am..I still have to do my first colonoscopy ...keep putting it off. I couldn't imagine walking 15 minutes though to get to it after doing the prep. I think I'd be too weak.
I have just had a call cancelling my endoscopy because of emergencies, but they have made an appointment at another hospital closeby at 9:15 am tomorrow morning, so I can only drink clear fluids until after I have been..... I will definitely enjoy dinner tomorrow EDIT: Should have said colonoscopy
Endoscopy or colonoscopy? Those are two different procedures...no? I would be very PO'd if that happened to me...I'm not good at fasting at all.
Yes it's confusing it's the endoscopy department, but I am having a colonoscopy, I did have an endoscopy many moons ago, and disliked it more than a colon one.
Seeing that you don't like anything dealing with a "procedure". Same as us, to a point. Wife was informed earlier this week, by her doctor, that it's time for another Mammogram. And, we are both due for another Colonoscopy. She had her last one in 2008 and I had one in 2009. Both of us had few pulps removed, but none were cancerous. But, had to drive each other back home after the procedure. Money, money, money.......our Medicare and Supplement won't pay for the entire cost, even after our Medicare deductible is paid for the year. Fortunately, I've already paid mine thru an eye exam/consultation I had.
So far I haven't had to pay for any procedures I've had done since Medicare. That includes an X-ray, an MRI, a Pap smear. A mammogram, an ekg and an echocardiogram. Plus bloodwork and physical therapy. Ive had very small co pays...$5-$10. Hopefully they'll pay for another mammogram I need done in May because I have dense breasts and it was suggested by the mammogram people to have another one in 6 months...since that one was my first one they need a baseline. I'm sure my ins will pay...they've been excellent so far. I'll also need cataract surgery sometime in the future ....hope it's covered.
I am working on getting everything ready before I leave tomorrow afternoon for Orlando. I think that Bobby is stocked up on necessary food items, clothes are all washed, fresh sheets on the bed, all of that kind of stuff. Lots of dog food, and Chipper has his little outside kennel area so we do not have to always stand right there and watch over him when he is outside. Since I am going to be gone longer than a few days, I have to take along the monitor/sender that goes along with my heart rate implant. Every night at midnight, it send in the information to my doctor about how my heart is doing, and if I am only going to be gone for a day or so, it will save the info in the implant and send it when I get back home. I have never traveled with it before; but I am reading the instructions for traveling, and will take those along so that Robin can read it to when we go to set it up at the hotel room. We are supposed to have thunderstorms coming in this afternoon, but they have not said that there are any concerns about tornadoes this time. Many times, we only get rain, and no thunderstorms at all; but one never knows, so I have the outside container plants all in sheltered areas for now.
Be safe, @Chrissy Cross , and hoping you have a wonderful Easter with your family ! Tomorrow, I will be on the road with my daughter, also; but at least she will be doing the driving and I will be the “sight-seer” for the trip.
