Good morning from a clear morning at 10c here, woke at 7 am but still waking up with coffee at 8 am. Have an annual interview this morning as part of an Understanding Society survey which I get paid a small fee for, it takes about an hour and covers most of the way you live your life. Apart from that nothing is planned.

Enjoy your day whatever you are up to, hope the workhouse is not too hard on you Holly.

We got 32 degrees with ice pellets falling. I haven't looked out yet. It's still dark anyway at almost 6am. Needless to say, I'm not goin anywhere. Got lots of food. As long as the power stays on, I'm fine.
So, you all be careful out there, and behave. If you can't behave, make friends with someone who owns a backhoe.:)

Good morning. It's still raining but supposed to end today. We will probably end the year with a new record for yearly rainfall.

    Good morning everyone..
I just checked the weather forecast for our area and was surprised to see that a BRUISER storm is heading our way..
They are predicting up to 50 cms of the white stuff along with violent winds..
The present temperature is not that bad at -17c ...

After all this is winter and we have had it easy so far, but now it is time to get back to a normal winter..

Good morning everyone, still chilly! Mall and lunch out today. Yesterday at Costco I bought a new carry on bag for only $29.99... It's the perfect size and it's supposed to fit under the seat which is important to me. Has lots of compartments, etc. Later I bought a pair of black socks for myself.....spending my xmas cash wisely. :)

Hope everyone has a great day!

@Holly Saunders ....yes, I'm the poorest grandma but the most favored and loved because I have always given my time and all my love to all 5 grandsons.

It's an in depth study of UK households Lara, It started in 2009 during the first 2 years you had 3 monthly visits with a full medical check, plus an interview about your diet emotional and physical heath, your income and expenditure, relationships etc etc.
Its just an annual interview now and the whole family are interviewed individually, it's good to be talking about yourself and your relationships and life in general, it kind of gives you a perspective on what you are or are not doing  More info here

@Terry Page . Sounds like you're the one that benefits most and they pay YOU…not bad….except the info they collect, even though they say it's secure, is actually public for anyone who is a "researcher". I read that in the link you provided.

I don't mind anyone knowing my stuff Lara, I have no secrets and nothing to hide, so anyone is welcome to peruse it
They don't have my bank details though :D:D

I tend to over think things. Like, some of their questions are "what is your income" and "what is your mental health state". If the "researchers" turn this collective info over to, say, car insurance companies, couldn't the insurance company feasibly raise the insurance rates upon finding that a larger percentage of of British are a little more wacko than they originally thought and had more money?…purely hypothetical of course LOL.
