I can't speak for Jacksonville airport having never been there, so I'll take your word for it that you'll stand out Cody.....but yes people do dress in all different manners at airports generally so I agree with CC there.. ...you should see some really odd sites at any of the London airports sometimes..lol...most people don't take any notice..
Holly, Jacksonville airport is in Florida, not in Wyoming, Montana, South or North Dakota, which are all known as “cowboy states”. JIA and the area sure isn’t noted like that. Most likely, people arriving at the Los Angeles airport (LAX) wouldn’t be wearing a cowboy hat. At the New York airport either. Just don’t understand why people seem to think that people in every State in the U.S. wear the same clothes. They don’t. If we were flying out in shorts and tennis shoes, absolutely nobody would look.
Looks like a great place to take a walk, @Holly Saunders. I'm curious about this log. Why is it like that?
Oh yes I know that Jacksonville is in Florida Cody...my ex husband spent 7 months there with the Royal Navy the first year of our marriage !!
Yes, at The University of Wyoming, not all of Wyoming. Some want Wyoming to be more diverse, but if different races don’t want to move there, it won’t be. Cheyenne has only a 2% Black/African-American population, compared to 38% here. Not every city or town in the U.S. wants diversity.
Then, you know that it’s not at all “cowboy” related. More like “Redneck” related. And, the boys with the big-wheeled pick-up trucks will agree with that. Funny, but true.
All I know about Jacksonville florida, is, that out of all the places my ex husbands' ship docked around the world , Jacksonville was the only place where they were attacked by locals when they disembarked for one night's much needed leave!!
Back from Curves and I also got my PG&E bill...not as bad as I thought it would be....$193.00. I don't recall if I was away for any of that billing period or not though. At least next bill should be less since I'll be at my daughter's and I turn my AC off completely when gone.
Well I don't know if you didn't understand what I wrote or the actions of the local jacksonville Yobs... attacking the Royal Navy crew in a club on their one night ashore.. ( 1977 /8) btw ...
@Cody Fousnaugh You don't have to travel far to see folks in "cowboy" gear. http://www.centralflrodeo.com/ I really don't know what the thrill is with a cross between a female bovine and an immature human male, though. (cow + boy)
That's interesting Don... I never knew there was a Rodeo in Lakeland Florida..I have a long time friend who lives there, she's never mentioned it, but then I don't suppose she's interested in Rodeos' lol. Did you know about this @Cody Fousnaugh , is it near you?..have you ever been?
Thanks for your good wishes to Geoff, I hope he gets back to his old self soon. Today has been all about packing for our vacation to Bulgaria and Macedonia starting tomorrow, we fly to Sofia in Bulgaria via Vienna and then it's all driving until we fly out of Skopje in Macedonia to the UK at the end of the month. Have a good weekend Here is a photo I took from our bedroom window at Katya's house last night, as the sun is setting..
