Good morning all... Set to be over 90 degrees here today.. I took these photos yesterday morning down our lane... I think I might go down to our boat today and give it an airing, there's a bar near there and the opportunity to take some nice pics on the river too.. Have a good day all...
It is actually a bit chilly here this morning. It is 70 here today, and supposed to get up to 89. It almost seems like we are having fall-like weather, and we are just starting out into August. My Jerusalem artichokes are turning brown on the bottom leaves already, and that usually does not happen until late in the fall after they have bloomed. We went to the farmer market yesterday, and I got fresh tomatoes, so the produce season seems to still be in full swing.
Good evening to you all, another perfect summers day though a tad hot in the sun, I together with the two cats of the household, have spent most of it sat in the shade of the old oak trees in the forest adjoining Katya's garden, here are a few photos I took from my chair... The cats Lika and Misha.. A tiny pond which is home for a large frog I discovered when he popped out, but sadly I didn't catch him on camera.... I cooked a couple of very rare steaks for the children, which seems to be their favourite I hope you are enjoying your weekend as much as we are

Mornin' all... It's set to be 90 plus again today...verrrry hot yesterday.. I had to go out to an appointment with my doctor, his surgery ( doctors office) is set in a beautiful riverside area.. I took some photos of the blackberries and the Haw berries ( the latter are huge this year ) I spent the whole weekend in the garden stripping down and repainting an Apothecary style coffee table size Cabinet...finally it's done..but boy was it hot out there... I've got the table back in the house now, just got to get the 8 drawers out of the barn shed, and put it all back together now I've gotta go out again today and get my car washed and some air in the tyres, and then to town for afternoon tea with my sister... Good morning to all ! We are back from our road trip. Soooo glad to be back. Between, flies, grasshoppers, very high winds, CATS, it was um, ok. Sorry to all cat folks, but I know now why I am a dog person. Four in the house running freely, is just too much fer me. We leave today -short distance to spend the night with my brother and his wife. Nice clamer place there . Today is me last day for the sixty years.. trying to be positive about being 70, um not finding much joy in that yet...except i be alive
53 F. and torrential rain this morning. We are under a flood watch until tomorrow morning. They are getting heavy snow in the highest mountains, an ominous sign of things to come in a few weeks....
@Holly Saunders we are on a rise above a small lake near the outlet, so there is very little danger of flooding at our location, but the roads and bridges are all a danger. We are quite prepared for almost all eventualities here as we are subject to service interruption of all kinds, although tsunamis and tornadoes would be very unusual here. We get floods (in the area), wildfires, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and, of course, blizzards and other winter weather.
Good morning...we have dropped from 90 degrees to 75 degrees overnight...wooohoooo... no rain...just temps dropped, I can't tell you how much fresher it feels, but still sunny and warm!!
