Bless you all @Babs Hunt @Yvonne Smith & @Don Alaska ... I really appreciate your best wishes, and I'll take that HUG Yvonne..Today I really need it.. x
I'd offer a hug as well, @Holly Saunders, but don't come back in 20 years and accuse me of something.
hahaha...dya think we'll still be here in 20 years..?...today is one of those days where I doubt it...
Who knows! I expected to be dead 20 years ago. I am sure getting married over 40 years ago extended my life.
Good Morning. This morning I decided to take a step up in the tech world. In a few days my first Smart phone will be arriving on the Plan I picked to go along with it and since I will only be paying about $11 more a month than I have been paying for my old plan I can easily live with that. And my neighbor who gave me his old smart phone that we never could get to work is paying for my phone just like he said he would. After much thought on this I decided a step up was necessary since my WHOLE FAMILY is up there already and they try to text me all the time instead of calling and my daughters prefer to text too...so if I want to keep in touch on a more regular basis...it's time to step up there with them. My phone will also have GPS will be nice when my husband and I take our trips. There are 8 short videos on my Plan which will walk me through the whole set up and how to use my phone and I have already watched 4 of them and don't think there will be any problems I can't work out. So with just a tiny bit of anxiety I am ready to take this step up and actually looking forward to it. I hope it will have a good camera too so I can enjoy using that part of it often too. May your day be blessed and may you stop to embrace the beauty around you.
What kind of a smartphone did you get, @Babs Hunt ? I am sure that once you get used to using a smartphone, you will love it and wonder how you managed without one all of this time. Why is your neighbor buying you a phone ?

Good morning! Hot here, 99 and tomorrow 100! Sad day for me, I woke up to finding out on FB that my best friend all through high school died last night. Really puts a damper on my day, even though we didn't keep in touch the last couple years...she kind of didn't post as much on FB and neither did I. She even visited me from Pittsburgh when I moved to Chicago ...also sad to hear that someone my age has died.
Because he is our friend and former landlord who had given me his old phone that I posted about in the Tech section and we never could get it hooked up to our plan. So he told me when he came in again he was going to buy me one. I told him that wasn't necessary...but he thinks it is and I'm not going to turn down the gift he insists on giving me. But I did find a very reasonable priced on on the plan we are already on.
I'm very sorry that your friend died Chrissy and pray that God will comfort you and her family at her loss.
26 F. this morning, and we will be picking the squash and pumpkins that are still in the garden today, as tomorrow is supposed to be colder. Soon we will be turning off the heat in the greenhouse and cleaning out the last of the detached grow-houses as well. New snow on the mountains, but as yet none down here. My wife still has a few flowers on the deck and patio.
