Such a cute dog @Maryt Hope ..today I got told that my eldest grandfukid is being PTS next week. In truth we've been expecting her to die for a long time, but due to the deep care and attention from my daughter, the vet believes that she's had an extra 4 years that she wouldn't otherwise have had, but now she's just exhausted, her heart is really struggling despite her heart surgery , can barely walk due to her arthritis for more than 10 minutes before sleeping all day and she has dementia too..so the time has come!!.. It's so sad....
Good Morning, everyone. Eye is doing nicely and I'm very happy about that. Instead of three eye drops, I only have to do two now and don't have to wear the plastic eye protector anymore. But, of course this will change when I have the right eye done in two weeks. But, that is fine.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of another one of your precious grand-fur-kid , Holly, and I know this must have also been a hard decision for your daughter. Sending you hugs and prayers, and hoping that all goes well this time, and she can be PTS easily and not suffer like the last one did.
Thank you so ,uch Yvonne, this is hard on my daughter as you can imagine , she's upset about it especially so soon after scruffy , but it won't be quite as hard as the tragic horror of Scruffy's death. Minky can just be PTS quietly and peacefully in the arms of those who love her.

We have sun , but very strong winds...really stormy and battering everything around, blowing all the leaves off the trees and some branches down out on the road.. clearly nothing compared to what's happening in the USA and Spain the last few days, but thank God we have brick made houses... oooh nice for them....it's expensive there, my daughter wants me to go with her if and when she ever gets any time off.. but wow, from here it's hugely expensive to even get there...
It's not a cheap trip from here either...my daughter and SIL are going for some dental classes they need for their licenses. Those classes alone are a few thousand. Usually the cheapest airfare you can find is about $700 from CA. for a direct flight...it's about a 5 hr flight from San Francisco. Turns out my son and DIL from Illinois are going in kind of the same time frame but not for the classes and to a different island....so they won't see each other. Both have timeshare points to use for hotels though...so that saves some. Hawaii is also 3 hrs time difference with CA. So it's 6:22 am here...there it's only 3:22 am....I have to remember that when calling my daughter about something.
I think that will help you to feel better when you get to spend the week taking care of your grandson, @Chrissy Cross . You are always writing about how much fun the two of you have together, and just being out of your house and in a different environment for a week should help perk you up as well. Have fun, and check in when you can and let us know what you guys are up to for amusement and fun.
