It doesn't actually get dark here either until about 6.30 CC.. but it's dark enough in the house to have to turn the lights on to see properly about 5.30 or 5.45..
Good Morning All - If I can get my SO moving this morning, we're headed up to Prescott AZ for lunch, etc. It's a couple of hours away, nice old frontier town. But since it is at a higher elevation, it is always about 20 degrees (F) cooler than here. High today in Prescott is supposed to be 60ish. Time for a sweater/light jacket.
That's the way it is in Fresno ....always cooler at Shaver lake in the summer by at least 20 degrees. Fresno is 375 elevation and Shaver lake starts at about 3,500!
Good morning! Beautiful day weatherwise here on the coast, 70's! Today after I drop off grandson at High School I have an appt to get my hair cut and highlighted...needs it badly! I pity my stylist, Michele. It's been quite awhile and my hair has a lot of different shades ...not just grey. Hope everyone is having a good day...mine is just starting.
Good morning! 81 today. Last day of driving grandson to HS but today he has golf at the country Club from 4:30 to 6:00 pm...don't know if it's lessons or a game but I'll be sitting there, no point going back and forth. I'll either walk the treadmill they have there or do what @Maggie Mae pictured. Daughter coming home very late Sunday night so I still have a few more days. Tomorrow I have to take him to the Catholic Church...he has some sort of retreat from 8:45-1:30! Poor kid, lol He's making his confirmation this year...I made mine in 4th grade and he's a freshman in HS...things change I guess. Have a great day!
We have the little electric fireplace turned on here in the living room this morning. I am bundled up in warm clothes and socks, and my sweater, and my fingers are still cold. It seems like we just jumped straight from “way too hot-90+” into “way too cold-50+”, and it feels like winter is on its way. I am spending more time in the hot tub when we go to the fitness center, and less time in the swimming pool. This week, Bobby and I have been bringing in the houseplants that we have outside during the summer, as well as some of my Malabar spinach plants, which I will be able to pick and use over the winter for fresh greens. I am seriously thinking about getting out my knitting, which is a sure sign of approaching winter !
Good evening to you all, we are back in St.Peter now and Jerusalem seems like a dream, we had an amazing time and are planning to go back to a different part of Israel at some time, it has a fascination somehow. Unfortunately I have come down with a heavy cold, but it will hopefully soon pass, I only get them every year or so, so can't complain. Have a good relaxing weekend...
@Terry Page My Sister went on a Billy Graham tour of the Holy Land, in 1972. One of the guides lived in Bethlehem, and took her and a few others on a side trip to his home. This is a picture of his Wife & Child. A 'modern' shepherd boy
