Good morning everyone. Gittin ready for cold weather. Brought the Sweet Bay tree and potted plants inside. Turned the couch around to face the fireplace, brought in firewood and kindling. Fixin' to make a pot of chili. Life is good "sposed to get into the 20s after a cold front comes through tomorrow.
Pot of chili sounds like an excellent idea, @Sheldon Scott , and maybe we will do that same thing . When you get cold, so do we (most of the time), and our weather is supposed to get cold also, below freezing by Friday and Saturday. We have most of the plants inside that come in for the winter, and no room for any more; so that is the end of the growing season for this year. I have been spending more time in the hot tub and less time swimming when we go to the fitness center, and on these cold mornings, that hot water really feels good.
Good morning! Our mornings are chilly but it warms up by afternoon. The best part of waking up..... is a dachshund in the house. Don't you agree?
Well, yesterday it was 88 here in Jacksonville. Beat a record of 86 years ago. However, winter temps will smack us in the face next week and on Wednesday the high will be about 60 and low of around 40. Not as cold as Colorado, but do people really move to any part of Florida for temps like this??? Other than that, all goes well.
Warmer here, as it only got to 10 F. last night and didn't go below zero. It is supposed to warm into the 20s F. and snow tonight...we'll see. Three of our grandchildren are coming out tomorrow to spend the weekend, as their parents have to go to Fairbanks for the weekend and will be back on Monday.
I, madam, do not "giggle" ! I may chortle, chuckle, guffaw, laugh, roar, titter, howl and even snicker, but I never giggle.
Good morning! Still in the 70's for our highs but mornings are chilly. I'm just waiting for it to be a little cooler so I can switch to my fleece sheet set....love it. Going to Curves in about 15 minutes. Yesterday I found out that our manager broke her shoulder...poor lady. Don't know how it's going to work out....I'm sure she can sit there but that's about it. I'll know more today. Tomorrow I'm going to a church Christmas bazaar. Then next Saturday I'll be leaving for my daughter's and not coming back until after Thanksgiving. This is my favorite time of year and I wake up happy every day....finally.
Good morning...again! Going to Curves today, I don't usually go on Saturday but might as well. I'll see who's there on saturdays.
Up since 5am. It is now 9:40 am Sunny but cold. Rain and even lower temps due this week. The good thing for me this week is after almost 5 mos. will see my youngest daughter. We have never lived so far apart and she has had many struggles while gone, so it will be nice to see her, and maybe my GD. Just got finished making up the Murphy bed hubby built for them to sleep in. Listening to very old songs via U Tube while I clean and fiddle around the place. Hope you all have a great day
