Good morning from a cold grey Friday in St.Peter, I am feeling a lot better this morning, after a couple of draggy days, where I couldn't really surface until the afternoon/evening. Lisa is working and I am going to sort out our upcoming trip to Thailand next January, I bought the flights in February but have done nothing since. It's a long narrow country around 2,000Km so will restrict our travels to mainly Bangkok and the north, it will probably mean a couple of internal flights and some driving. I do enjoy the planning part of our vacations often more than the actual trip Another weekend is upon us, have a great one.

I don't know how you do it !! Anyway, can you believe it's the first day this week we've had sun , and no wind, albeit cold at 48 deg F..8 deg C... and my intention was to go out and do some shopping, because we're forecast for rain for the whole weekend, but my daughter sent for something online, and they don't deliver to Spain, so she's arranged for it to be delivered here..today, so I can't go anywhere until it gets here, and it's already coming up to mid-day, so it looks like I won't be going anywhere after all !! Whatever you're all doing today, I hope it's a good one...
It's afternoon here, but wanted to remind everyone to take a look at my thread about the landscapers. Not for the topic itself, but to see our indoor Christmas tree and outdoor décor that got us a 2nd Place Win in our apartment complex some years ago. Like I tell everyone, my wife loves to decorate for Christmas!
It's the first day of December and in the Spirit of Christmas I wanted to share some Christmas cheer.
I have spent a productive day planning and booking our trip to Thailand, (yes it is January 2019 @Holly Saunders) it involves 3,200 Km of travel, three flights and two car rentals. plus staying in 9 different apartments/homestays. Good evening from a wintry St.Peter, we decided to go out today for a change, so caught our favourite tram the No16 which stops just outside Lisa's apartment, they come around every 20 minutes, but to save standing and waiting at the stop in the cold, I used an app I found for my phone the other day, which somehow tracks all forms of public transport here, so we went out a couple of minutes before it was shown as arriving, and caught it, amazingly it worked We took the ride to the terminus about 30 minutes, and walked around Ekateringof Park there, we came across a costume photo shoot of some kind, not a wedding though it was partly on the frozen lake, which only became ice a couple of days ago, so wouldn't be too safe to walk on Coming back on the metro we stopped off at our favourite Georgian restaurant for dinner. Here are a few photos I took: I have noticed that the majority of tram drivers here are women, they are paid the same wages as men, which are quite good I understand. I photo-shopped this one a bit, it looks like us in a few years time, or sooner The poor old babushkas out in all weathers Walking back I managed to have my first fall of the season, flat on my back banging my head on the pavement, luckily nothing broken, maybe it knocked some sense into me It's prompted me to get out my winter shoes, as the ones I was wearing slip on most surfaces.
@Terry Page So glad to hear you did not hurt yourself when you fell. Your pictures are great as usual and you and Lisa look really good too. It was such a beautiful and warm sunny day over here yesterday that it made it hard to believe it is December already and the official start of Winter is just a few weeks away. I'm hearing that it is going to be a cold one for us...not really looking forward to that if it's true since my aging body likes the cold less and less each winter. And the higher heating bills are no fun either. The thing I dislike the most though is my Honey and I have different body temps that can't seem to come to agreement on how warm to set the thermostat during the colder weather. I guess though we're blessed that this is one of the few things we do go up and down on. ) I enjoyed the Christmas movies marathon on the Ion channel yesterday and there will be more next Sunday too. I think I love seeing the Christmas decor and lights, etc. just a much as the movie. But yesterday while I was looking at all the beautiful decorations I thought to myself how glad I was that I wasn't having the job of putting all that stuff up and then taking it down again and storing it for next year. I did love our outdoor Christmas tree that I would enjoy decorating...but the cold weather killed it this past winter. Since we had raised it from a baby tree it was kind of sad for both of us to lose it. I thought about buying another one this year and having my Honey plant it but I don't want to go through that kind of loss again. My Honey has just about finished putting up his outside decor. We keep it simple but I love when the outside lights are on when evening comes. And my Honey doesn't know it but today after I drop him off at work I'm going to go buy him a couple of new outside decorations. It's a great day to be alive and loved. Enjoy the blessing of this day.

As usual I can't see your photos, ...but I an see yours @Babs Hunt , and your little house looks so pretty. You do sound like you're enjoying life at the moment It's raining off and off here at coming up to 11am, and windy and cold with intermittent sun, so I think I may go and do my least favourite thing, grocery shopping. I could order online and get it delivered but I like to see and feel the fresh food for myself.. so I'll need to go.. @Don Alaska , I do hope everything is getting a little back to somewhere near normal at your home now. @Gloria Mitchell , hope you're feeling a little better than of late mi chica... ...and a jolly good day to everyone else...

Holly , do not understand why you can not see Terrys pictures, but you can Babs? It is cool 40's here today, with colder weather around the corner. I got my little bit of Christmas shopping done yesterday. Went to World Market store,and had a blast looking at all the Neat-o things.
