@Babs Hunt .. I cooked several things the other day-stew-chicken stew- goulash, all gone now. Nice not to cook everyday.
I think @Terry Page because Cathy and Caroline both take after you and look younger , then perhaps it makes Mike look older, but definitely in that last photo he looks as if he could be her dad, I agree with you...
Good morning peoples... It felt cold this morning when I got up due to an overnight frost..but now just approaching noon, it's 49 deg f... but still overcast!! I've fed the the collared doves and wood pigeons they're peanuts, they must have been starving because 4 big handfuls spread on the grass were gone in minutes, so I've just been back out and spread out some more for them, it starts to get dark here around 3.30 so they don't get a lot of feeding time in winter ... the little birds already have their feeders full so they're ok... Not a lot planned for today. I might clear out my dressing room ( walk in closet to you Americans)... , I've got a load of stuff in there that needs to go to the charity shop...and probably best to get it there before Christmas. @Babs Hunt , I should do that cooking for several days in advance, it's a good idea really.... Have a good start to the week everybody!!...
Good morning! We are at our coldest so far, only 53 for a high and dense fog again....brrrr This is our coldest day, the rest of the week is warmer but not by much...I love it! Going to Curves this morning. My walk in closet isn't walk in anymore @Holly Saunders ....the floor is covered with clothes in baskets or bags. Really need to clean it out.
It is 31 degrees here this morning and Winter isn't even officially here yet. If this keeps up our City just may see some snow again this year. There was a nice layer of frost on some of the houses around us this morning which was a beautiful sight to see with the sun beginning to rise upon all of it. With the sun's rays shining on the frost I actually saw some glistening going on. My Honey and I have a few errands to run when I pick him up from work today but by that time it will close to 50 degrees...so running these last minute Christmas errands should be enjoyable for us both. Whatever is on your calendar for today....if you are out and about...may you see sights that warm your soul with joy today.
Our average temp for December is 68 degrees and we were only at 53 for a high yesterday. Again and again and again...……..we live in Florida???? Our coldest months of the year is December and January. Well, at least living in Colorado, we won't need the A/C, like we do here in the summer for heat and humidity. There we will obviously need the heat during the winter months. Here we use the A/C during the summer and, believe it or not, heat for many days of "so-called" Florida winter months.
Good Morning. Seems that early this morning Tennessee had a 4.4 Earthquake centered about 150 miles from us and felt into Georgia. I didn't feel anything here, was asleep. One reason I enjoy living here is the unlikely propect of having an earthquake. Now what... I've had my fair share, with the 7.5 quake on my Island in 1975 and the one that damaged our house in California in 1994. The ground violently moving is something you never forget. Hoping it's just something that is over with and no more occur.
Good Morning Everyone. I thought I'd share some of Lafayette's Christmas decorations with y'all this morning. Enjoy.
